F U T U R EThe CenTer for Law & LiberTy is a new initiative of HBU’s School of Humanities. The Center is dedicated to the preservation and promotion of American Founding principles, limited government, and liberty. The organization is staffed by a select group of professors from the fields of Government, History, and Law who share a commitment to the values on which our nation was founded. The Center for Law & Liberty will offer unique opportunities and scholarships for HBU students, public outreach to the greater Houston area, and educational events for the Houston business and legal community. The Center also hopes to evolve into an active public policy think-tank like the Heritage Foundation. While Houston is now the fourth largest city in America, it lacks an influential organization to help shape public policy, and the Center for Law & Liberty was created to fill that void. The Center also seeks to shape the future of the HBU campus by building a replica of Independence Hall that could be used for classes, community events, and conferences. Such a building would provide an eye-catching addition to the campus while also sending a message that HBU honors the wisdom of our nation’s Founding Fathers.

The sun never shined on a cause of greater worth.
