Master Coaches and Co-Training Explained:

This year at Carolina Edge, we’re instituting a master coach model with the master coaches being Emma, Jody, and JP, all of which are paired with a co-training team. The idea is that Emma, Jody, and JP, our full-time volleyball coaches, will confer amongst each other to produce a similar training methodology that provides teaching consistency amongst all age groups. Emma, Jody, and JP then plan and lead this methodology with their fellow head coach: Emma and Megan as co-head coaches; Jody and Emily; and JP and Ben. Therefore, there’s quite a bit more shared learning, and the ability to vary training positionally and work in a game-like

capacity at any given session.
