Issue 292 - 27th May 2020 Headteacher - Update Well done to all of you who connue to complete the home-learning tasks set by your teachers. It is wonderful to see how hard you are working, while accepng responsibility for your personal learning. Thank you for connuing to share your learning with your teachers - they are all so proud of you! You will find another leer from your teacher on the website, do take a look and dont forget to write back. Its half-term and the weather connues to be kind to us all, how lucky we have been to be able to get out-and- about, or spend me in our gardens while enjoying the best of the Brish weather. Although I have been enjoying my garden and walking my dog, I have missed you all so much, and cant wait to see many of you back in school next week. Headteacher - Update Well done to all of you who continue to complete the home-learning tasks set by your teachers. It is wonderful

to see how hard you are working, while accepting responsibility for your personal learning. Thank you for

continuing to share your learning with your teachers - they are all so proud of you! You will find another letter

from your teacher on the website, do take a look and don’t forget to write back.

It’s half-term and the weather continues to be kind to us all, how lucky we have been to be able to get out-and-

about, or spend time in our gardens while enjoying the best of the British weather. Although I have been

enjoying my garden and walking my dog, I have missed you all so much, and can’t wait to see many of you back

in school next week.

Special Mentions & Well Done Your teachers have thoroughly enjoyed receiving your letters, emails and images - keep up this fantastic work!

Miss Darnley’s special mentions:

Ashton has been learning about the parts of a plant and their functions.

Noah has also been helping in the garden this week, and created a lovely natural collage.

Ella also made a beautiful natural collage on card and researched lots of facts about strawberry plants.

Oscar has researched, sketched, collected and even frozen flowers to create striking art pieces.

Connor has been reading Diary of a Wimpy Kid by Jeff Kinney

Mrs Allerton’s special mentions:

Willow has been selling magic beans in her shop. She even had a visit from the giant!

Hugo completed the bean-counting sheet and painted his own stones to look like magic beans.

Jacob counted jellybeans into numbered pots.

Lucianna drew a fantastic picture of Jack.

Kaitlynn continued the magical theme by creating magic potions with natural found resources.

Alfie T made sure his seeds were happy, by keeping them well watered.

Woody made a bird feeder.

Rohan made a wormery.

Hugo and Leighton explored local nature, padding in streams looking for wild-life.

Miss Miller’s message this week:

Last week, lots of you really impressed me with your cursive handwriting! Also, Ms Mitchell was very pleased with

all the nature pictures you sent to me, they were all very creative! Ava and Lola sent me a few videos last week

which was really nice so if any of you would like to send me some videos about the activities you are completing

then please do!

Mrs Gamble would like to give lots of special mentions to:

Eleanor set out her hedgehog homes and has been practising her letter and number writing.

Bobby has been busy with his family; he has also read lots and lots of books on Bug Club!

Lawson has been enjoying long walks and collecting natural objects for his bug hotel.

Jayden has been playing the guitar and dancing with his Daddy!

Ethan mad a super bird feeder!

George researched the Rainforest and the kinds of animals that live there. He also made his own bird house!

Jessica, Nancy and Blake have also been making bug hotels for their gardens.

Blake has been doing some super reading, adding and subtracting.

Mrs Wakelam’s special mentions:

Jayden B, Reuben, Evie and Frankie for their super reading and completing books on Bug Club.

Joshua, Archie, Ruxy, Samuel and Bobby for increasing their speed on Times Table Rockstars.

Ellie-Rose has been designing in 3D, and creating artwork using leaf rubbings and great brush techniques.

Sophia has made a miniature dolls house based on the Y4 Bitesize lessons.

Maisie has painted two pictures of different scenes – they both look awesome!

Nathan has been drawing rainforests inspired from his reading.

Rhys has been learning lots outdoors on heritage trails.

Elliot has been doing plenty of cooking and crafts.

Mr Newton would like to say well done to:

Nicole G produced a wonderful fact file about Mountain Lions.

Brooke H has done lots of cooking and made an amazing lava lamp.

Sienna R has produced a great diary detailing all the work and fun things she has been doing with her family (Mrs Corbett loved it!).

Koppee has been doing his SATs booklets and Bitesize lessons everyday - he has produced a fact file on a mountain animal, written letters to NHS heroes and been keeping fit on his bike.

Miss Thomson well done message:

Abigail has been super busy! She has completed a fabulous map of Europe, and taken part in a Science experiment.

Here is what she had to say: “My brother and I did science in the paddling pool. We learnt about resistance. We

made different shapes out of plasticine and saw how they moved though the waters. I wrote up my experiment in

my book.”
