    What is SHIP?

    SHIP is a state funded initiative to reduce

    chronic diseases associated with tobacco use

    and exposure and obesity

    Goals1. To support, promote, implement, and

    evaluate health interventions that lead to

    sustainable improvement in health by

    creating changes in policies, systems, and

    environments where individuals live, work,

    play, and seek health care services.

    2. To reduce the overall cost of health care in
