County works with adult learners in the Wood County area to help them improve their reading, math, and English language skills.
We offer individualized programs with one-to-one tutoring, small group tutoring, and computer-based learning.

Health Literacy Curriculum
Design a health literacy curriculum that can be used in various settings and formats, with learners of various educational levels and cultures.
Develop modules to incorporate into Adult Secondary Credit (ASC) classes, GED/HSED preparation, and individual literacy tutoring.

Yellow Unit Section One: Understanding medications
This section explores the differences between name brand medication, generic medications, over the counter medications, and homeopathic medications.
Section Two: Understanding prescriptions This section is a nuts and bolts, hands- on workshop for understanding prescription warnings and how to chart and keeping track of medication use.

The curriculum is designed to be used in a one-to-one setting or in a group/classroom setting.
Portions of the curriculum can also be presented as workshops within the community at health care events, employer sites, community-based organizations and other outreach sites.
