In other words it benefits your mental health, physical, skeletal and metabolic health all together. Statistics The centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported that more than 60% of children aged 9 through 13 do not participate in any organized physical activity during non-school hours, and 23% do not engage in any free-time physical activity at all. Cutting gym class is likely to contribute to the rise of obesity in children.

Statistics cont. Physical activity improves overall health. It improves circulation, increase blood flow to the brain, and raises endorphin levels. All of which helps to reduce stress, improve mood and attitude and calm children. School physical education programs promote the idea of healthy living for children which can bring about long term changes in activity levels into adulthood as well as improve academic achievement.

Reasons to keep gym class

Its a part of their social life.

It gives them a break between school work.

Exercise is a great stress reliever. Studies show that it improves academics

Keeps you active during the day
