KEY ACTIVITIES
HSSC organized its Academic Committee
meeting at New Delhi. Dr Devi Shetty, Chairman, HSSC
Academic Committee and Chairman, Narayana Health
presided over the meeting. Dr Shubnum SIngh, Chairperson,
HSSC was also present. Prof (Dr) Ravi Kant, Director, AIIMS,
Rishikesh, Prof (Dr) SK Sarin, Director, ILBS, Dr Naresh Shetty,
President, MS Ramaiah Hospital, Dr SN Basu, Senior Director,
Max Super specialty hospital and many eminent members
from organizations like AIIMS Delhi, King George Medical
College, PHFI, Manipal Hospitals, AIIMS Raipur, CAHO etc.
graced the event with their presence.

To promote skilling and employment opportunities in the Western Region,
Healthcare Sector Skill Council (HSSC) constituted HSSC Western Region
committee.The meeting was chaired by Mr Joy Chakraborty, Chairman, HSSC,
Maharashtra. Dr Shubnum Singh, Chairperson, HSSC, Mr Ashish Jain, CEO, HSSC graced
the event along with many other prominent stakeholders and representatives of
organizations such as IMA, FOGSI, etc.

HSSC participated in the second meeting of the skill development advisory committee of New Delhi Municipal Council
(NDMC) held under the chairmanship of Dr Naresh Trehan, Chairman Emeritus, HSSC, and Co-chairmanship of Mr Naresh
Kumar, Chairman, NDMC. There were discussions on skill development initiatives taken by NDMC and future roadmap for
Activities for NDMC.
Second New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) Skill Development Advisory Committee
HSSC organized a Boot camp at Max Hospital, New Delhi for the candidate that qualified to represent
India at World Skills Competition to be held at Kazan, Russia. The training was provided on various
technical skills as per the World Skills Competition format.
Dr Shubnum Singh, Chairperson, HSSC had one on one discussion with the candidate and advised
her on key elements to keep in mind during competition other than the technical skills. A short
programme was organized at Max Hospital where Max Hospital team that was involved in training
provided there feedback on the preparation for the competition.
Mr Ashish Jain, CEO, HSSC briefed about the journey so far for selection of finalist and efforts put in
preparing the candidate for World Skills competition. He acknowledged and thanked Max team for
providing support for preparing the candidate for the competition.
Mr Ravi Kharbanda, Consultant, World Skills, NSDC also shared the brief about the World Skills
Competition and wished success to Indian candidate in Health and Social Care Category.

CAMPUS PLACEMENT DRIVES & ROZGAR MELAS
HSSC organized a QP-NOS validation workshop at All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Raipur for
various job roles of healthcare where experts of various domains like vision, phlebotomy etc
Participated.
Prof. (Dr.) Nitin Madhusudan Nagarkar, Director, AIIMS Raipur, addressed the gathering about potential
of skilling in healthcare in the country.

A validation workshop on various QPs under
reviews was done at AIIMS, Rishikesh where experts
of various domains participated.
The aim of the workshop was to get inputs on technical
aspects of standards and incorporate the same in the QP. The
workshop was moderated by Prof Shalinee Rao, Head of Medical
Education, AIIMS Rishikesh. Dr. Ravi Kant, Director, AIIMS ,

HSSC organized a meeting with the experts of Ayurveda at National Institute of Ayurveda, Jaipur to discuss the
occupational standards of Shalya Technician, Ksharsutra Technician and Ayurveda Aahaar and Poshan
Sahayak. Prof Sanjeev Sharma, Director, NIA, Jaipur, Prof Omprakash Dave, Head, PGDeptt of Shalya Tantra,
University College of Ayurveda, Jodhpur, Dr Mahesh Sanghvi, Senior Proctologist, Mumbai, Dr Sanjay
Laxminarayan Trivedi, SJ Patel Ayurvedic Studies and Research, Anand, Gujarat were also Present during the
Meeting.

1st Consultative Meeting for Transplant CoordinatorHSSC organized its 1st consultative meeting for discussion on occupational standards for Transplant
Coordinator.
The meeting was attended by various experts from the fraternity of organ and tissue transplantation
representing organizations like Mohan Foundation- the Medicity, Army Hospital, Sir Gangaram Hospital, Artemis
Hospital, Fortis Hospital etc.
Healthcare Sector Skill Council conducted Train the Master Trainer
program for Indian Air Force professionals at Medical Training Centre,
Bengaluru for the job role of Emergency Medical Technician- Basic where
about 16 candidates participated. Dr Alexander Thomas, Chairman, HSSC
Karnataka inaugurated the training program and addressed the gathering on
major takeaways of the program.
Training was led by group activities, quiz and individual presentation to carry out teaching and training
methodology, preparing lesson plans. Trainers were provided an open forum to share their ideas, views, feedbacks
and sharing best practices at their centre
Healthcare Sector Skill Council organized a ToA program where 30 candidates participated. The program was
organized for the job roles of GDA,HHA,Diet Assistant, Phlebotomy Technician and Frontline Health Worker.

HSSC Western Region committee in collaboration with CII organized a conclave
in Mumbai. The main agenda of the conclave was to identify skill gap, suggest
ways to bridge the skill gap and align skilling as per industry expectations to enhance
employability of youth in healthcare sector in the region.
