Key Facts
• Poland is the 6th largest economy in Europe, the largest consumer market in CEE and with its central location it is an ideal springboard to Eastern markets;
• Poland's allocation of €67 billion EU Structural and Cohesion Funds has driven investment in Polish infrastructure, environmental and technology projects, as well as supporting human & regional development;
• Since Poland began its transition to democracy and a market driven economy in 1989, it has become one of the most important & dynamic markets in Europe;
• Increase of spending on health care in Poland, mostly because of the growth of purchasing power of Polish society. Every year Polish citizens are becoming more affluent;
• Gross Domestic Product per capita over the past 20 years has increased almost 3-fold;
