This February, over 6,000 dedicated, passionate volunteers will hit the streets across BC & Yukon, canvassing their neighborhood to raise funds for the Heart and Stroke Foundation. In 2013, the Heart Month campaign raised over $1.3 million, helping to give Canadians longer, fuller lives. If you are interested in an exciting opportunity to build your business and sales skills and contribute to a national fundraising campaign, this could be the position for you!
ORGANIZATION Heart and Stroke Foundation, Prince George
LOCATION 1480 7th Avenue
POSITION TITLE Telerecruiter Outbound calling to recruit volunteers
POSITION TYPE Part Time Contract 9 to 20 hours per week Weekday evenings and some weekend daytime shifts
CONTRACT LENGTH September to Mid-December, January to February
WAGE $12 PER HOUR
JOB DESCRIPTION: Call residential areas to recruit new volunteers to canvass in February for the Heart and Stroke
Foundation’s Person to Person fundraising campaign (script & training provided) Track and record results Demonstrate a pleasant and clear telephone manner and voice at all times
