MegaDumper bin-tippers are the heaviest-duty models in our comprehensive range of bin-tipping machines. Although similar in appearance and operation to the ‘Wide Series’ Dumpmasters, all components are up-rated to cater for bins weighing up to 750kg.
MegaDumper bin-tippers have a unique tipping action whereby bins are lifted straight up, then gently rolled forward around the lip of the skip bin being emptied into. Benefits of this design include a small ‘footprint’, and a wide range of tipping heights available (from 700mm to 6 metres or more). MegaDumpers may be mounted on four castors with no loss of stability.
MegaDumpers• are available with weight capacities of 450, 600, and 750kg. The basic componentry is the same for all models, except the lifting ram. The operating speed is generally proportional to the weight capacity – machines with more weight capacity run slower.
MegaDumpers • can be built to any practical tipping height.
Standard • MegaDumpers have a galvanised frame and cradle, and are virtually maintenance-free. MegaDumpers are available either with full stainless steel construction, or with selected components from stainless-steel for critical hygiene areas or corrosive environments.
Cradles are available to empty either a single size of wheelie bin, or multiple • sizes, or many other types of square and rectangular bins. Standard drums and bins do not require clamping – simply place on the cradle and press the ‘Raise’ button.
MegaDumpers • are highly versatile and can be used in numerous applications, ranging from emptying rubbish bins into skips to pouring food ingredients into hoppers or mixers.

A range of accessories is available to provide additional features or functionality for MegaDumper bin-tippers. Many of these features can be retro-fitted to existing machines.
Guarding Options and accessories:
Various guarding options are available for MegaDumper bin-tippers. The most basic style usually has 2 side-hinged doors which form part of the control circuit. The machine cannot be used unless both doors are closed. However, the doors do not lock shut.
A more advanced option is a swing-up door as illustrated on the opposite page. This option allows for the door to be locked shut at all times when the cradle is off the ground.
The door is balanced by gas struts and is light and easy to use. One advantage of this option is that the door takes up no additional space when open.
This system can be further upgraded to include a diagnostic module that continually analyses the circuit and shuts the machine down if any fault is detected.
All panels including the door can be made from steel sheet or welded wire mesh. However, if the lift-up door option is selected, the main side guards must be sheet steel as shown
If desired, a pressed panel can be provided to cover the area at the ‘front’ of the main frame. This face is normally up against the bin or hopper being tipped into, but may be guarded if accessible by operators or others.

Electrical Options and Accessories:
Power Supply: • MegaDumpers can be powered by 1-phase, 3-phase, battery, or even compressed-air for use in hazardous areas. In all cases, the power supply is used to run a motor, which in turn drives a hydraulic pump. The lifting pressure and speed are accurately controlled, resulting in a safe, smooth operation.
Door-end controls/2-hand controls: • The controls can be mounted at the ‘door end’ of the machine so the operator is well away from the product as it empties. As a further safety measure, dual controls can be fitted, requiring the use of both hands to operate.
Auto-cycle option: • an auto-cycle controller is available for mains-powered machines only. This unit connects directly into a standard wiring loom, and has 3 potentiometers to adjust the raise, hold, and lower times. For more complex functions (e.g. interacting with other equipment) a programmable relay is available.
Additional Controls: •Additional controls can be fitted on the opposite side to standard. Several options are available.

Stainless-steel construction: Like all other bin-tippers in this range, MegaDumpers can be supplied in full or partial stainless-steel.
Corrosion-resistant lifting chains: if the MegaDumper is to be used in a corrosive environment, nickel-plated lifting chains can be supplied. These offer a similar level of corrosion-resistance to stainless-steel while retaining the strength of standard chains.
The machine pictured has an overall height of 5.8 metres, and a tipping height of 4.45 metres. It is used for emptying square plastic bins full of grain weighing up to 750kg into a hopper.

IP Rating: The Raise/Lower, key switch, and Emergency Stop switches are rated to IP66. Motors are rated to IP54 but are mounted inside a steel cover which provides additional protection.
Castors: 200mm (2 fixed, 2 swivel), with separate wind-down support feet.
Hydraulic: • Pressure-compensating valve to regulate lowering speed • Pressure-relief valve to limit lifting capacity.
