Examination of the data quality of Siemens NX data with HQM
0 General
• This Quick reference gives an overview about the interaction between PartConfigurator (Daimler tools for entering meta data) and Heidelberg CAx Quality Manager (HQM).
• The definition and stipulation of the NX data quality is based upon the requirements of the production generation process. National and International recommendations (VDA, SASIG PDQ), CAD-system specific characteristics (NX) and company specific stipulations (Norms and Standards) serve as the basis. In detail these are:
• VDA 4955 and SASIG PDQ • CAD-Handbook module from the process step
Data generation (NX)
• More information can be found on the PDQ site: http://intra.corpintra.net/cad-dq-home and in C@D Handbook (Modul CS077).

Input data with PartConfigurator 1
• Each PRT with RNI_PARTTYPE=PRT has to have process-relevant PRT attributes that need to be added to the PRT with the PartConfigurator.
• Therewith HQM can find a process-relevant sub-profile, at least the following attributes must be present:
• Buisness-Unit • Department • ConfigurationName • Release Relevant
• If no sub-profile can be found, then the sub-profile FALLBACK is taken for testing.
• Assemblies and drawings are recognized only on the basis of the attribute RNI_PARTTYPE=ASM or RNI_PARTTYPE=DRW. Other attributes are not required for the selection of the sub-profile.
• Activate the PRT to be tested to add part attributes.
