There are nine planets in the solar system.
These planets orbit the sun.
The planets move around the Sun. It takes the Earth 365 days to orbit (1 year.)
Planets that are further away from the Sun take longer to orbit the Sun.
The Sun is the largest object in the solar system.
Sun Facts.The Sun’s diameter is 1,390,00km.
The surface of this burning ball of gas is 5500ºC. The Sun is so large, you could fit over one million Earths
inside it.Distance from Earth 149.6 million km.
There are nine planets in the Solar System.
The nine planets are:
Mercury. Venus. Earth. Mars.
Jupiter. Saturn. Uranus. Neptune Pluto.
Mercury is the closest planet to the Sun.
