Helena Bonham Carter was born on May 26, 1966
She has two older brothers, Edward and Thomas
•She was born in Golder’s Green, London, England, UK.
•Born granddaughter to Liberal Prime Minister, Herbert Asquith.
Helena’s mother, Elena (née Propper de
Callejón), was a
phsycotherapist.
Helena’s father, Raymond Bonham
Carter, was a merchant Banker.
Many tragedies with her family were present in her
childhood.
Helena attended South Hampstead High School and Westminster School in London.
At age 13, she won a poetry contest.
Helena received no real training but did model for Yardley products.
In 1979, Bonham used the money she won in her poetry competition and paid for an ad in Spotlight.
