WelcomeIt is my duty and my pleasure to welcome you all to the Milnthorpe Art Exhibition.
The exhibition is now in its 29th year. The exhibition goes from strength to strength, it is now the largest “open” art exhibition in the North West of England. With artists from Yorkshire and Lancashire, from Penrith to Manchester. The exhibition remains true to the ideals set out by our founders all those years before....the exhibition is open to all artists of quality and all proceeds should be given away to charities and other good causes.. in the last 29 years we have given away over £170 000.
I am proud to say that this year our chosen charity is the St John’s Hospice, Lancaster.
Please, take your time, enjoy the exhibition, enjoy the skill of the artists, the wonderful tea and cakes, perhaps win the raffle and maybe take a piece of work or a painting home with you, knowing that you own something that is original and individual, a work that that will give lots of pleasure

Lighting Milnthorpe Art Exhibition is updating its lighting thanks to grants from Lakes Leisure and the Leasgill Quarry Fund. The new track lighting uses LED spotlights which use less energy and generate less heat. The work has been phased in over the last 2 years and is now complete. We are sure that you will appreciate the improvements.
