With the help of our team of awesome videographers, we show up at your event (or your company) and create beautiful videos for you to enjoy for a very long time.

We’ve been shooting video for years. We know the industry practically by heart despite being only in our mid-20s. Hello, I make films is our outlet to be able to share our love for video with anyone that has a vision, but doesn’t know how to execute it alone.

Hello, I make films was created to cater to the wedding industry in Montreal, Qc. We believe that your wedding could be one the most important day of your life and it should be remembered as a fairy tale. We use DSLR to film your special day in order to give your video a certain depth and a cinematic feel that is worthy of the big screen.

We searched high and low for cinematographers that were able to offer our clients the best videos along with a great attitude and customer service during the wedding day which will make you want to call them “friends” at the end of the evening. Our goal is to, not only give you an amazing video, but also assist you in having a FUN WEDDING DAY !

We found Jesse and Andrew while they were trying to launch off their own career and offered them an opportunity to make it with us instead ! We are so very lucky that they said “yes” as these two are one talented duo!! Thus, started Hello, I make films.

With them, along with their studio manager Kimberly, we plan on taking the industry by storm in offering beautiful videos and soon enough, music too.

Andrew is Jesse’s assistant on video shoots.

He’s been editing films professionally for more than 5 years already. In fact, we found him while he was working a 9 to 5 corporate job editing videos. He’s very talented. So, we stole him.

In all seriousness, he compliments Jesse ‘s work pretty perfectly! Plus, he’s super nice! Yay!

He is also working on making tunes with Jesse to provide you with custom music for you to use anywhere you want.

How many weddings do you book a year?

As many as we can! But usually around 25 a year.

What is your approach to filming a wedding day?Our approach in filming a wedding day is purely candid storytelling, not stage direction. We’ll still interact with you of course, and have a laugh every now and then, but we don’t want to interrupt with the flow of your day. Experience has shown us that this is the best way to capture those real, natural moments as they happen.

What is an engagement “save-the-date” video?

An engagement video is a 1-2 min. video that showcases you and your fianc with an awesome song. It’s a creative and fun way to do a few things:1) To let all your friends and family know that you’re engaged, 2) A very modern way to segue into your wedding video or...3) A great way to tell anyone invited to your wedding to “Save the date!”.

What is an tag-along engagement video?

A tag-along is a vido that we create by tagging along with your photographer. This could be Ella or someone else. It doesn’t matter to us. We shoot the “behind-the-scenes” of the session and make a cute little vido out of it. No creative planning is done in this type of vido.

Once I get my video, can I share them online?

Of course you can. It will be sent to you via download so you’ll have the right format to upload it. We highly recommend that you do! There’s many easy ways to get your videos online and we can help you do it.

What is “RAW FOOTAGE”?

Raw footage is the name that we give to the unprocessed video that we shoot throughout your wedding day. We go through hours of footage and compile the very best parts to make a beautiful, cinematic movie for you and your loved ones to have forever.

Can I have the RAW footage?

No. Unfortunately you cannot. For the simple reason that you won’t be able to view it on a normal screen. We do however offer Rough Cuts. With a rough cut, we take everything we shot on your wedding day and put them one after the other on a Blu-Ray or ready-to-download. There is no montage, no music, no color correction but you get it all.

Rough Cuts are perfect if you want to see it all but your budget doesn’t allow a documentary-style video. Just remember that, because we shoot with DSLR cameras, all our footage is rather short to allow creative freedom in changing angles. The camera is never stationary (in one spot) which means that you will get a lot of little clips put together into one.

What makes you different from others ? Well, to start, we believe that customer service comes first! Our goal is, not only to make you an amazing video, but to assist you in having a fanstatic day as well !! You will be stuck with your videographer all day, so we make it our mission to be comfortable with you, laugh with you and help you in whatever task you may need help with! We will become your friend! We just can’t help it! We also believe that your wedding day is the BEST day of your life and we want you to remember it. Because of this, we are proud to offer you two ADDITIONAL videos with package 1 and 2 which will have your entire ceremony and your speeches at lenght. That way, you don’t have to compromise of your creative video.

Do the videos have real audio?

Yes, we record live audio throughout the entire wedding. In our bigger packages the audio is recorded with professional microphones and is included in the video itself.

Can I book you for only 3-4 hours?

Yes you can, we have a special rate for such short bookings.

Can we use a top 40 song for our wedding video?

Yes but, there’s a catch. Using any song requires a licence. The more popular the song, the more expensive the licence. For us to use any song and avoid legal issues, we need to aquire one. We will recommend you choose songs from top websites like themusicbed.com which are made explicitly for video usage. We include 1 license from the site (at the rate of 60$) in our packages. Licences over this amount will be at the responsibility of our clients.

How much is the deposit to book you?

We ask for 1000$ to book your wedding date (along with the contract) and then the balance is due 7 days before your wedding

How long does it take to receive my videos?

We ask that you give us 10-12 weeks after the day you give us your musical choices to receive your wedding videos. If you let us pick the song for you, it will be faster!

Who will come shoot my wedding ? We are specialized in video. If you book us, you will be working with Jesse, our top cinematographer.You will meet him and then work with him. We don’t hire random videographers the day before your wedding day. We are pleased to serve a market that values a personal and unique wedding video for their wedding – handcrafted from their own story, not formed by template. We value quality way more than quantity and time, skills are extremely important and put into every client that hires us.

Highlight videos are an beautiful way to experience your wedding day over and over again. These videos are typically 3 to 5 minutes which will make you and your friends want to rewatch the video more than once. We choose the best moments of your special day and turn it into an amazing cinematic experience that is guarantees to make you tear up.

These videos are included in our package 3 and are usually created with a beautiful liscenced song.

Add 5 minutes to your highlight video to create a short story of your wedding day. These are perfect if you would like to add a few speeches or your wedding vows.

Our short stories

Documentary-style videos give an inside look to your wedding day that will most likely contain your ceremony, long speeches and/or important dances. These videos are a little “long” to watch but will have the most of the moments you may want to relive in 30 years.

These videos, included in package 1, typically run 20-30 minutes and are usually created with multiple songs and sections.
