TBPH went to Safety Harbor to raise monies for
Save the Manatees with our Spin-A-Wheel. We
also had a table for membership. The Trop Rock
Junkies provide the tunes.
Raft Up – June 17th
TBPH needed some time off. What
better way than to spend the day at
Beer Can Island. Rich “Schooner”
McGuire provided the music.

Several Parrot Heads tried their hand
(and voices) to Parrot Karaoke.
Pre Party Nature Coast, Sarasota and Tampa Bay PHCs got together
for an EPIC tailgate.
Monies were raised for Florida Parrot Rescue.
Even the afternoon rain could not dampen the Phun.
Music provided by Highway 1 and the Trop Rock Junkies”.
Virgins were sacrificed to the Volcano.
Parrot Heads danced to the hokey-pokey.
And TBPH showed all how “Brown Eyed Girl” is done.

You had to have been there........So many phun things from TBPH latest
phlocking. John Frinzi (Mango Johnny) played some awesome Jimmy Buffett
tunes. 5 Newbies joined the GREATEST Club in the World. Amy Manning from
Family Resources Center collected the flip flops we donated. Corona Light girls
gave away some pretty sweet swag. Cool drink specials and the food buffett
was yummy. No rain. And we get to do it all over again, and again, and
again.....

. Q: How did Parrot Heads get started?
A: In early 1989, Scott Nickerson of Atlanta GA
decided he had meet so many fun interesting
people “tailgating” before Buffett concerts that he
should do something to get these types of folks
together more than once a year. As his idea began
to take shape, Scott also began to think how he
could organize these folks to volunteer for local
community and environmental concerns. After all,
Jimmy Buffett had set an example with Save the
Manatees.
