I've seen this flm be ore and enjoyed it quite a bit. I never realized the pervasivenesso Helvetica type in the physical and digital environment. I think it is interesting tore ect upon the role that the advent o computers has played in the generalknowledge and understanding o type aces. In addition, I enjoyed learning a little bitabout how type was created be ore the computer age.

This flm is in ormational. It introduces the indispensable role o type aces in our lives, introduces us to many o the most in uential typographers over the last 50 years, andgives us a visual history o Helvetica's creation and success.

The primary audience is lay and popular in nature. It spends a lot o time and e ortexplaining and illustrating things, something that probably would not be necessary i itwas made or other typographers or even other artists generally. This flm is or andcan appeal to anyone.

It is 100% relevant to this course because graphic design o ten requires the use otext which requires the use o di erent onts/type aces. So, understanding the historyo type aces and in particular understanding the importance and impact o theHelvetica type ace is very help ul to thinking about designing text elements in additionto the other visual elements o any graphic design.

According to the flm, type in uences all aspects o our lives, in small ways and large. They spend a lot o e ort trying to point out all o the ways in which type a ects arelives, o ten in ways that we take or granted. I imagine the goal o the flm's creatorsmight be to cause people to notice a little more the role o type in their everyday lives(i not to notice explicitly the impact o Helvetica and its pervasive use).
