How to use BPM

Put your armthrough thecu loop.

Positionthe armcorrectly.

To take a measurement,you need to be• Relaxed and comfortablyseated,under comfortable

room temp.• No eating,smoking orexercising 30 min beforetaking a measurement.

• Sit on a chair with your feetat on the oor.

• Sit upright with your back straight.• The cuff should be at thesame level as your heart.

 The bottom edge of the cu should be 1 to2 cm above the elbow.Marker(arrow undertube) is centred on themiddle of your innerarm. Close the fabricfastener FIRMLY.

Irregular heartbeats can inuence the results of the measurement. The

irregular heartbeat algorithm automatically determines if the

measurement is usable or needs to be repeated. If the measurement

results are aected by irregular heatbeats but the result is valid, the result

is shown together with the symbol ( ). If the irregular heartbeat symbol

is shown frequently, please let your doctor be aware of the condition.

What is normal blood pressure ? When is it above normal?Readings in the range of 120- 129 Systolic and 80- 84 Diastolic are considered as ‘normal’.Readings above 140/90 are considered high.
