IntroductionThe year 2012 was the most succesfull sports year ever for Team Nijhof. At least 5 stallions partici-pated in the international scene at Grand Prix level, in World Cups and Nations Cups at 4 and 5 star level. The highlight of 2012 was Verdi and Maikel van der Vleuten winning the silver medal with the dutch team at the Olympics in London, by jumping three clear rounds.

Once again in 2012, our stallions Quality Time and Jeroen Dubbeldam, Spartacus and Marco Kutscher, Verdi and Maikel van der Vleuten and Zacharov, Warrant and Henk van der Pol, were very succesfull at Grand Prix level. We find it enormously important that the stallions prove themselves in the sport. With our own stallions they must also prove their worth, whatever genes they possess themselves can also be passed on to their offspring. Everything is hereditary, especially their performance in the ring! In our 2013 brochure you can find information on the performances of our stallions at national and international level and also their offspring. In 2013 we have also renewed our website with news items on our horses and via social media facebook and youtube we will keep you updated with all the news on our stallions and their offspring.For 2013 we have completed our station with Marius Claudius (v. Concorde). A stallion that partici-pated at Grand Prix level for 7 years continuously, as well as the coming stars Elton John (Clearway x Kannan), Floris (Quality Time x Vancouver) and Pilothago (Pilot x Carthago) and for dressage All at Once (Ampere x Gribaldi), Firestone (Johnson x Florencio) and Brandon (Bellissimo x Donnerhall).

The veterinary services for mares at our farm will be provided by doctor Nick Smith in co-operation with De Watermolen Horse clinic. Together, stallion keepers and mare owners form a strong bond. We need each other to create a new generation of good and healthy sport horses that can perform to the highest level. We have to work together to maintain the highest position in the ranking list of the World Breeding Federation for Sport Horses. The black pearl, All at Once (v. Ampere) was the 2nd Reserve Champion of the Westfalian Stallionshow in the autumn of 2012. In his pedigree all the important dressage sires of KWPN and modern dressage breeding are represented: Ampere, Ferro, Flemmingh, Gribaldi, Jazz, Contango, Roemer, Ulft and Amor. Both the dam Wynona RB, and the granddam Ravolite have competed succesfully at Prix-st-Georges Level. The dressage horse Tip Top, also competing at Prix-st-Georges level is a full brother to Ravolite. From this damline also descent the famous kwpn stallion Norrway (Jazz) and the international jumper Invitation (Le Mexico)from Michael Forsten.

BREITLING - born 2006 - dark brown– height 1.70 m.KWPN, OL-OSBreitling has an excellent pedigree. Both his sire, Quintero la Silla and his dam Armonia la Sillaperformed successfully in the top of the sport ridden by Rolf-Göran Bengtsson. With the combination of the two we find the performance blood of the stallions Almé Z (3x), Cor de la Bryère (4x) and Lady-killer xx (2x) doubly anchored via son and daughter. In the pedigree of his dam Armonia la Silla, the influential stallion Ahorn Z is combined with his full sister Argentina Z who is renowned as being the dam of the showjumper of the century, Ratina Z. In the third generation we come across the stallion Zünftiger xx who takes care of the necessary influx of blood. Via Rebel I Z and Farnese the damline goes back to the mare Bajanga (Nautilus xx), who is a full sister of the KWPN stallion Dolman. This renowned Holsteiner family 2151 also includes the International Showjumpers Optiebeurs Richard (Rodrigo) ridden by Otto Becker and Cargho (Coriano Z) ridden by Felix Hassmann. The stallion Breitling completed a fantastic performance test in Schliekau. He got the score of 10.00 for his scope, 9.88 for his natural jumping ability and a 9.75 for his jumping technique!! From his first (small) group of foals born in 2011, three foals were selected for the national foal championships, amongst which the champion of Gelderland. Breitling produces tall foals with a lot of expression and a big canter. Breitling himself finished two times in second place in the stallion competitions of Roosendaal and Zuidbroek. After that he easily won the finals of the stallion competition in Den Bosch 2012. This year he finished 2nd in the finals of the stal-lion competion and in the total ranking as well.

Caleandro’s sire Cassini I was a big hit in the international showjumping ring ridden by Franke Sloothaak. When we look at breeding worldwide Cassini is one of the most success-ful showjumping horse progenitors of the present day with a string of offspring competing at international level including Olympic Z, Ingmar, Coco, Cumano, Berlin and Carino. Damsire, Leandro is a son of the most influential ‘stamping’ stallions of the last decade, Landgraf I. Ad-ditionally Caleandro is bred out of the highly acclaimed Holsteiner family No. 776. A damline that produced over 60 approved stallions and an impressive list of national and international showjumpers such as leandra (Otto Becker), High Valley Z (Jos Lansink), Lucky Boy (Marcus Ehning), Locarno (Ellen Withaker) and Libelle (Angelique Hoorn). This damline has achieved an enormous status by the world famous stallion Ramiro. Caleandro himself is directly out of this famous damline, as his mother is decending directly from the mare Holle, the granddam of Ramiro. Caleandro also has the famous bloodlines of Cor de La Bryere, Landgraf I and Farnese in his genes.

Caleandro is a stallion with quick reflexes and a lot of scoope. With Maikel van der Vleuten Cale-andro qualified very easily for the final of the Worldchampionships at Lanaken (6-year-olds) and finished in the final at place 10.

The Holsteiner stallion Canabis Z is a top model in conformation by himself. His sport and breeding career started at Studbook Zangersheide. For more than 6 seasons Canabis Z partici-pated at international level with his rider Manuel Fernandez Saro. Canabis Z' qualities as a per-formance sire are very impressive. Out of a relatively small amount of coverings, he produced an enormous amount of international jumpers at Grand Prix level, such as: Cabreado Z (Daniel Deusser), Zoltan (Gerfried Puck), Cadjanine (Patrick Spits), Caesar (Andre Thieme), Cassan-dro d'Aubry Z (Aurore Christen) and Calisca La Z ) Gerfried Puck. Also he has some talented offspring at small tour level such as Canarobi Z (Rob Raskin) and Carolus Z (Hervé Godingon). With these achievements Canabis Z is one of the best sons of Contender in the European Breed-ing as a whole. Canabis Z himself has a very balanced pedigree, in which the legendary sires such as Ladykiller xx and Cor de la Bruyere are duplicated; once via a son and once via a daughter. Out of the Canabis Z pedigree, Holsteiner damline 990, is also the famous international jumper Loriot with whom Gregory Wathelet and Björn Nagel participated in the World Equestrian Games of Aachen and the European Championship in Mannheim. Canabis' offspring Cadjanine partici-pated succesfully at the 2012 Olympic Games in London with Gregory Wathelet.

CLINTON - BWP - grey - born 1993 - height 1.71 m. KWPN - BWP - Selle Français - Unire - Z - Oldenburg - Holstein - HannoverClinton combines superior conformation, with excellent movements and superb jumping ability. His sire Corrado won several Worldcup Qualifiers with Franke Sloothaak and was the stallion that won the most prizemoney as an approved stallion. Corrado has around ten approved stalli-ons such as Coriano, Corofino, Calmaro, Contago, Corraldo. Clinton's dam Urte performed at national level with her owner, however, Clinton's granddam is more famous. She jumped successfully at international level and won around DM 50.000,-- with Karsten Huck and Dirk Schröder under her sportsname Olympia. Grandsire Masetto has the famous bloodlines of Moltke and Cottage Son and is known as a producer of dressage horses. Clinton had a very good Performance Test in Oud Heverlee, where he showed a lot of quality as a showjumper. Clinton participated successfully in the Classic Cycle for four and five year olds. Clinton and his rider Dirk Demeersman had a successful year in 2003. They won the Grand Prix of Lummen and were 2nd in the Nations Cup of Aken, 2nd in the national championship of Belgium and 7th in the worldcup qualifier of Verona. From his first crop incredibly 3 sons were approved, Upsilon, Utrillio and President. Clinton became 3rd in the individual ranking of the Olympics in Athens with Dirk Demeersman. Clinton was second in the prestigieus Grand Prix of Aachen in 2005. Clinton has three approved sons with the KWPN, Whitaker, Zacharov and Eldorado van de Zeshoek. Clinton’s offspring have started to jump as well as their father like Codar and Alexander Onischenko and Cornet Obolensy and Marco Kutscher, who both participated in the Hong Kong Olympics, as well as Danny Boy (Beezie Madden), Vivaldo van het Costerhof (Roger Yves Bost), Via Vola (Beezie Madden) and Cornet Obolensy (Marco Kutshcer). Last two mentioned offspring of Clinton have participated in the nation cups teams of the USA and Germany in 2011.

In Kentucky, his sire Nabab de Reve was the best sire with four offspring participating in the world equestrian Games. His most famous son is the world champion Vigo d'Arsouilles. His mother Nilotte (v. Holland) jumped herself at national level (1.30 m) with her rider Pascal Uytendaal. She is the full sister to the kwpn approved grand prix jumper stallion Oklund, with whom Eric van der Vleuten won de Grand Prix of Eindhoven. Mr. Blue), with whom Marcus Ehning won the world cup finals in Geneva in 2010. Ilotte is a daughter of the well-known Westphalian stallion Pilot out of the mare Santa Fee. She is the full sister to the international jumper Sotheby from Heinrich Hermann Engemann. Both descend from the international stallion San Fernando (Arthy), with whom Franke Sloothaak made his international fame. Just like Nabab de Reve's sire, Quidam de Revel, also San Fernando is out of a daughter of Nankin (Fra Diavolo xx). Great granddam Santa Fee is also the grandmother of the international grand prix jumpers Paramo K (Franke Sloothaak), Parbleu (Sören Pedersen) and Pershing (Peter Charles).

Eldorado van de Zeshoek has a fantastic pedigree with a lot of sporting horse producers pedigree. Sire Clinton has an impressive career in showjumping and also as a sporting producer with offspring like Cornet Obolensky, Allemachtig, Via Volo, Danny Boy, Codar etc. etc.His dam Bijou Orai is jumping internationally (GP) successfully with Simon Delestre. Her sire Tou-lon (s. Heartbreaker) was ridden by Hubert Bourdy and they won the Grand Prix of Sao Paulo and were second in both the Grand Calgary and Valkenswaard. The damline goes back to the foundation sires Calypso Latano. This damline is the very famous Holsteiner line 2581, which produced the jumpers Gonzales (s. Carneval), Akynoek (s. Kannan), Bijou Orai (s. Toulon), Samba III), Ufra (s. Coronado) and Valdorai (s. Ahorn Z).Eldorado van de Zeshoek himself is a very tall and leggy stallion with a lot of presence. Eldorado is now jumping succesfully at 1.30 m level with Jeroen Dubbeldam and shows an enormous amount a fantastic canter. He has won many Stallion Competitions and was a finalist in Championships in Zangersheide. In the NRPS performance test he achieved the possible (ZG (very good) for his jumping and overall impression). The offspring of Eldorado are of a good type, possess good move-ments and an easy, correct, style of jumping. Eldorado became the overall champion of the kwpn performance test in 2010 with scores of 9 and 9,5 for his jumping. In 2011 Eldorado van de Zeshoek finished second in the finals of the VION-cup for 7 year olds at Ermelo. In 2012 he was placed sev-eral times in national and international classes at 1.40 m. level.

The beautiful stallion Firestone was reserve champion of the KWPN stallionshow in Den Bosch in 2013. Firestone is the most beautiful type and has three excellent gaits and he shows a lot of expression. The combination of the famous dressage stallions Johnson x Florencio have once again proven to be a succes-sfull one. In the third generation we find the beautiful thoroughbred stallion Painter’s Row xx and than in the fourth generation we find the proven stallion Saluut. Firestone descends from the famous Bella-linaege in Holland that has produced a lot of succesfull sportshorses. Direct relatives of Firestone are the national jumper Livia-Bella (v. Glendale), and the national dressage horse Rafael (v. Ragazzo), as well as the double Z dressage horses Vital (v. Don Primaire) and Zahid (v. Quattro). Firestone’s full sister is the prok-star mare Elfi. She did a very good eptm-mare test with high scores and also at the kwpn mare inspection at Vars-seveld, she was awarded with 95 points for her trot.

Firestone is approved for AES and meets the strict veterinary requirements for KWPN. Firestone is selected for the KWPN performance test and he is availalbe in fresh-chilled semen.

His unbelievable beauty in conjunction with his naturally light-footed, uphill movements makes him a revelation to every dressage lover. Florencio is a stallion who is bred for dressage from the cream of the crop of stud stallions in the Westphalian and Hannovarian studbooks, he carries with him all the blood and expression necessary for the dressage breeding. His sire Florestan I is the outstand-ing dressage ambassador of the Westphalian Studbook, Florestan I has several approved sons such as Fidermark, Fleurop, Furst Heinrich, Faveur, Neostan, Flores, Freestyle and Flieder.Grandsire Weltmeyer is one of the most fa-mous stud stallions in Hannover with countless approved sons and offspring in the dressage sport. Furthermore he was Overall Champion of the 4 year olds in Westphalia. Florencio was Dressage World Champion at Verden in 2004 with Hans Peter Minderhoud. They achieved the highest score ever given: 9.80!! Florencio became World Champion Dressage for the second time in 2005! Florencio won the VHO trophy twice at Prix-St-Georges level with a fantastic score. In the meamtime Floren-cio has already 20 approved sons in Germany, of wich five sons were premium stallions and four were champion of their perfromance test. Florencio is ranked high in the german dressage index and his offspring are very popular in Germany. He has a lot of champions at the shows and his offspring make high prices in auctions all over Germany. As a result Florencio was awarded “Hauptprämie Sieger” in Oldenburg. Florencio is becoming on of the leading sires for producing dressage horses in Europe. He is sire of many approved stallions and mares. He is also the sire of the winner of the performance test of kwpn: Charmeur, and the sire of the winner of the Pavo-cup in 2010: Borencio. In 2011 Florencio made three champions Charmeur, winner pavocup 4 year olds, Borencio winner pavocup 5 year old and Gregwaard national champion foal dressage 2011.

Sire Quality Time is bred by the famous Holsteiner breeder Floris van Leuken. With Jeroen Dubbeldam Quality Time has become an international jumping star. They were jumping Champion of the Netherlands in 2011 and in 2012 they won the Grand Prix of San Patrignano. Damsire Vancouver jumped with Wim Schröder for the Dutch Equestrian Team and they finished in 2nd and 5th place in the Nations Cups of Du-blin, Calgary and Rome respectively. The Selle Francais bred stallion Vancouver is sire that that is making the outcross effect in this linaege and adds the valuable blood of Le Tot de Semilly. Moreover the bloodlines of Quality Time complete the cross with granddam Irisinaa. In this way the excel-lent bloodlines of Farn and dam Dorette are double and four times secured in this pedigree. Quality Time’s granddam Thesee (v. Mowgli) is bred out of the same dam as the KWPN-approved stallion Goodwill (v. Landgraf). The combination of Goodwill and Irisinaa resulted in the famous Grand Prix jumper MacKinley, with whom Rolf-Göran Bengtsson won Team Silver at the Olympics of Athens and finished in 4th place individually. Both his sire Emerald van ’t Ruytershof as well as his dam Walnut de Muze are very succesful in international jumping with Harrie Smolders. Smolders and Walnut de Muze represented the Netherlands in the winning nations cup team in Calgary and Dublin and represented Holland in the team at the European Championships in Calgary and the Worldchampionships in Kentucky. She competed in the world cup final of Milan with Christophe Barbeau. Grandsire, Flemmingh, is famous for producing the grand prix dressage horses, Krack C with Anky van Grunsven and Lingh with Edward Gal.
