The pattern is the "sister" of Heart Hair Decoration by Rosemarie Peel (http://www.ringoftatters.org.uk/seasonal/valentine/hairdec.html ) You need Two shuttles and a thread of choice. The chains are joined to the ring by Catherine Wheel Joins (CWJ). Here is a video showing how to do that: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EMmcLLTXcVI . Symbols R ring C chain Numbers number of double stitches (dst) p picot 3-3 3 dst, picot, 3 dst & twisted picot made by adding to the twist of the thread before making the picot SLT Shoe Lace Trick CTM Continuous Thread Method, pull some thread off the first shuttle and wind it to the second Pattern Reduce the number of thread ends by using CTM If you are doing right/wrong side tatting, start from the behind R: 10-4-10. Note: small picots C: -24+2 Note: small picot and join by CWJ SLT This helps making the point more pointy R: 2&2. Try making only one "twist" on the picot SLT C: 2+24. Remember: CWJ Make sure the second chain is about the same size as the first before cutting the threads, pull one of them throug the tiny picot at the start of the first chain, tying and hiding the ends. The hearts can also be done using two colours

This pattern is made in remembrance of the victims of the bombing

You need
