A successful gathering was held on Sunday, headed by Hagaon the Rav of Bistrits

Shlit”a and Hagaon the Rav of Sigeht Shlit”a with the participation of R’ Gershon

Engel, R’ Hershel Weinberger, R’ Chaim Yida Weinberger, Harav R’ Shmiel

Shloime Spitz, Harav R’ Yoel Yaakov Meisels and Avoyseinu members Shlit”a.

Family members took upon themselves to cover the cost of a new fence to

surround the cemetery. Phase 1 of the project is scheduled to begin shortly.

The gathering which took place on Sunday was called together by the grandchildren

of Mrs. Leah Hendl Langer a”h whose resting place is in Nyirmeggyes, and was attended by family members, Harav R’ Yoel Yaakov Meisels shlita, Chairman of the Yemei Kedem Organization, and Avoyseinu members. At the gathering R’ Meisels revealed interesting points related to the ancestry, one of them being the fact that the yohrtzeit of the grandmother Mrs. Leah Hendl (the first, whose Resting Place is in Bardiev) is 10 Cheshvan which fell on that very night! Family members are determined to have the cemetery restored without delay.
