max. rating, the centrifugewill automatically correctthe setting to the rotor'smax. speed withoutterminating the run. Thisimportant safety-featureeliminates the possibilityof over-speed.This feature for accurate

calculation and display ofg-force.

Automatie lid lock

The lid needs only to be setgently when closing thecentrifuge. The motor drivenlid locking system thenfinishes the job. Thisinnovative feature adds to

the user friendly design.

The Z 513 is a universal, highcapacity bench top centri-fuge. A continuous air flowthrough the centrifugehousing prevents sampieheating and restricts sampietemperature from rising over12°C, even at max. speed.When the rotor is not

running an additionalventilating fan assists incooling process.

OperationThe ergonomicallydesignedcontrol panel combinsadvanced microprocessorcontrol and easy to adjustknobs.The set parameters(speed, time and tempera-ture) remain in memoryafter completion of a run,allowingfor repetive runssimplyby pressing"start".

Two knobs are provided forcoarse and fine adjustmentof speed. The knob on theleft allows for coarse adjust-ment 500 rpm increments.The knob on the right allowsa more precise adjustment in10 rpm increments.

Z513K

The Z 513 K is a universal,high capacity, refrigeratedbench top centrifugeequipped with an efficientand powerful refrigerationsystem. Irrespective oftheinstalied rotor the power ofrefrigeration is shown bylong time runs on maximumspeed. For the coolingsystem the CFC-freerefrigerant R 404a is used.The rotor and rotor

chamber can be precooled tothe required workingtemperature prior to acentrifuge run by simplypressing the "pre-cool" keyon the control panel.

Common Features

Except the refrigeration ofthe Z 513 K, the features andcapabilities ofboth units areidentical. Due to the main-tenance-free induction

motor, there are no brushesto wear out or to be

replaced. The centrifuges areextremely quiet in operationdue to the extensive noiseinsulation. These are reasons

that make work directlybeside the units as pleasantas possible.
