What I like about Khalid Al Shafar is his strong spirit and passion toward In-terior and Furniture Design. Indeed, he took a very big step by changing his career life and specialization. Shafar usually work by hand, he produced many outstanding furniture pieces made by hand. Also, I noticed that he use wood in his work. He took the wood experience from New Zealand. In the UAE, many local and international magazines talked about it such as, Inside Out, Emerging Lab, Interior Elite, and Curve. Emirati Designers began to show up in Media world, which is a good sign to be successful.

بعفوية. كبرت و كبر حبها للفن فالتحقت كلية الفن و التصميم

في جامعة زايد بامارة دبي. بدات مواهب حصه بالتظهور فقد

اوشكت حصه على االنتهاء من مسيرة التعليم بشهادة

البكلريوس في جامعة زايد، تعلمت الكثير ولكن ليس للعلم حدود.

Hessa started her artistic journey since childhood by exploring painting and drawing with Spontaneity. She grows up and the love of art grows with her, she joined the Art and Design collage at Zayed University in Dubai. Hessa’s talent began to show up in her interior design projects. She is almost graduating from Zayed University with the Bachelor degree. She learned a lot but in education there is no limit of knowledge.

Art pixels are the mood and Pixels Rug is my inspiration, this rug is made by pure silk and it is hand made. I de-signed the salon for men and women because there are male students after 5:00 pm. and women from 8:00 am. to 5:00 pm.

Tips and Toes have a vertical garden to refresh the space and make it more live because there are no windows. Also, mirrors make the space look large. The salon is occupy-ing approximately 13x7m only. Acrylic furniture, concrete flooring, fabric and vertical garden go well together to create pixels mood in the space. Each pixel is different than the other such as, people with different personali-ties.

knitting is one of the oldest women jobs, they used to spend a lot of time knitiing their

jackets and clothes in a very elegant way that reflect their personalities. indeed, every lady has her own

way, which makes herfamous. knittin is a feminine job.

This design mad to be hanged from the wall and for customers to walk around to see the jewellery dis-played inside the class spheres. It is supported by metal mash and fibre optics to create contrast between the softness of the fibre optics and the metal mash. Some of smaller spheres designed to lighten the space and follow the same shape of the display units.

I experienced dealing with a client who explained her mood and things she wants in her bedroom. I chose crystal and geomet-ric shapes for the mood and Zaha Hadid as an inspiration. Indeed, final result should show my style in comfortable way to suit her needs. This is my first Interior Design project at Zayed University.

There are two textures in the floor, which is barque and carpet.

I learned how to draw with different sizes and thickness of pencil, pens and charcoal. Also, what id important is to create texture and movement with the picture. I found my style with zooming and inlaring objects and drawing details.

I am the daydreamer, artist and the passionate interior designer, who sees the world from a

narrow hole which looks tiny but when I get closer everything it looks clearer and brighter.

Knowledge opens my eyes to an understanding of my specialization and I always want to

know more. I am the processor who starts with mind maps and sketching and then develops

my ideas by creating models. Imagination helps me look at my thoughts, everything is pos-

sible but dreams need time to become true. My objective is to become an accomplished

Interior Designer. Success is my dream and I am usually surrounded with interior designers

who share the same passion to develop and this encourages me.

Interior Designer Hessa Dafoos AlMehairi is curious to know more about designing. Zayed Uni-

versity (ZU) gave her the chance to improve her artistic and designing skills. Hessa also has

drawing, painting and 3D modeling experience, which she usually integrates into her work.

Hessa was born in Dubai in May 1990. She participated in Chinese Painting Yin Zayed Uni-

versity exhibition in 2010. She has some basic background in architecture. She would like to

take AutoCAD, printmaking, architecture and more professional 3D modeling classes in the

future. Hessa alMehairi is planning to exhibit her Interior Design projects.
