In order to overcome these problems, the new ZamacHammer-Screw® has been designed to provide a removable anchor with50% higher tension load capacities when installed in concrete. The Hollow-Set™ Dropin anchor is designed for anchoring in hollowbase materials such as hollow concrete block, brick with weep holesand hollow core pre-cast concrete plank. It can also be used in solidbase materials. Hollow masonry materials often have a minimum outerwall thickness of 1-1/2". During the drilling process, spalling on theback side of the wall often decreases the wall thickness available foranchoring to 1" or less. The design of the Hollow-Set™ Dropin over-comes this problem.

Drill hole. Hold metal channel flat alongsideplastic straps, slide channel through hole.

Place thumb between plastic straps. Push sideto side snapping off straps flush with wall.

Insert bolt through item to be attached andtighten until flush with fixture. Minimumclearance behind wall: 1-7/8" (48mm).

With one hand, pull ring so metal channelrests flush behind wall. Slide plastic cap alongstraps with other hand until flange of cap isflush with wall.

Drill 5/16" (8mm) hole. Fold anchor in middle.

Insert key to pop anchor open behind hollowwall (not necessary for thick or solid walls). Donot force or hammer key.

Place item over anchor. Insert screw and tight-en until screw is flush with fixture. Then, stop.

Insert anchor in hole and tap flush with wall.
