BIOMr. Misner graduated from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota with a B.A. in music education.

He has sustained a full private studio for 17 years and has been on the teaching faculty at the venerable

MacPhail Center for Music.  

Mr. Misner draws from various teaching menthods including: Suzuki, Mimi Zweig, and Paul Roland.  His

private students have been awarded music scholarships by various colleges, held principal positions in

GTCYS’s (Greater Twin Cities Youth Symphony) top Symphony orchestra, played in MYS (Minnesota

Youth Symphonies), been selected for All­State Orchestra, and many hold principle positions in their

school orchestras.

Mr. Misner is also an active freelance performer both solo and with the acclaimed, Laurels String Quartet.

He has had the pleasure of performing and recording with many of the Twin Cities’ most celebrated

musicians as well as several national artists.
