• Current plans– Fit 2x or 4x cabling into same space; no

degradation in performance– Use same FE modules• Some kind of patch panel near FE crates to convert new

cabling to present connectors.

Questions

• Timeline for decision on how many readout channels / PMT? (2 or 4 anode readout)

• How much space is available in cable path?– Are we limited to what we have? Could it be

doubled?...• Does entire cable plant need to be replaced in

2012? Any chance of delaying this if we have a cable adapter pluggable into the outside of the RoBox?

Conclusions

• Things to do– Check with vendors on what is possible –

coax/twinax, cable gauge, 5 meter length?, connector availability

– Order some cables 5 meter cables– Get a working teststand! – Look at possibility of back-termination of cable run
