Note to adults: If there is work attached that needs printing and a printer isn’t available it’s not a problem. The children can either create their own version or discuss when looking at the information on whatever device you are using. Printing certainly isn’t important ☺
Continue to work on your tricky words worksheet that was sent home. It is also attached.Challenge:Keep writing them out as often as you can this practice will be so beneficial.

Literacy – Create A Fact File On SpaceAll of the information for this is attached. We have looked at some of this in class already so you should really be able to impress your grown up with what you know. When you have read and discussed the information – either print out the fact file or create your own.
Craft activity – use your imagination –if you were to travel to the moon what would you travel in. Can you make or draw this ‘creation’ out of whatever resources you can find at home ?
PSHE - (Personal, Social, Emotional) - Let’s talk about our feelings….it’s good to talk. Can you tell your grown up what feelings you know ? Can you tell them a time when you felt ‘happy’ for example ? Can you draw a picture of this and try to write the word ?

Neil Armstrong was a famous American astronaut.
Who is Neil Armstrong?
He is famous for being the first man on the Moon.
Neil Armstrong’s Life
He was born in 1930, in America.
He was 15 years old when he got his first pilot’s license.

His first trip into space was aboard Gemini 8.
Then in 1969 he went aboard
Apollo 11 and became the firstman to walk on the Moon.
He died in 2012
Walking on the MoonOn 1968, Neil Armstrong was offered the chance to command the Apollo 11 mission. This would be the first manned landing on the Moon.After months of practice , the Apollo 11 mission launched from the Kennedy Space Centre in Florida on July 16th 1969.
Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin landed on the moon, while a third astronaut, Michael Collins, stayed on the spacecraft. Neil became the first man to walk on the Moon on July 21st 1969. The astronauts arrived back on earth on July 24th 1969.
