This training course is designed to introduce candidates to the particularmethods and techniques required to joint and terminate high voltage cablesup to 15kV.
This version of the course is specifically made for the termination and jointing of live cables only – if you need to work with dead cables, you should consider taking the LVCJT01 course (dead working) instead.

Entry RequirementsYou should have previous experience of glanding and terminating low voltage cables, or be an engineer/supervisor with knowledge of this process.Anyone attending this training course should also have a good level of both spoken and written English.
AssessmentsWritten examination and practical examination.
Course CertificationYou will receive a certificate of competency after successful completion of thiscourse. For candidates who decide not to undertake the assessments or are unsuccessful when taking the assessments, you will receive a certificate of attendance instead.
Who is this course suitable for?Electrical engineers/technicians responsible for carrying out or supervising high voltage terminating or jointing.
Course AimYou’ll be involved in the preparation of high voltage polymeric cables prior to splicing or terminating the cables. The understanding of how to correctly strip and prepare a cable will enable the candidate to install almost any type of joint or termination by any manufacturer.
