Higher Education Capability Statement

Integral’s ongoing relationship with Griffith, built upon trusted knowledge and delivery experience, has enabled us to deliver many initiatives targeted at improving the way that students engage with the University. The most relevant are outlined below:

> The implementation of Griffith University’s Service Orientated Architecture platforms and infrastructure using tier 1 Java based middleware and data integration tools.

> The design and implementation of the Griffith Scholarships application, providing Griffith students with the ability to apply online for the wide range of academic scholarships Griffith offers. The solution captures all of the student information required to support a scholarships application including personal information, program data, references and supporting information and is fully integrated into Griffith core systems including security, single sign on and the University data hub.

> The Griffith University Degree Finder is one of Griffith’s primary interfaces for future students to analyse and understand Griffith program offerings. Integral provided user interface design and mobile optimisation as well as application implementation for the Degree Finder solution which included integration into the Griffith admissions processes and Student Management Systems.

> Integration and development services for the delivery of the Griffith University Online Programs and Courses and Enrolment applications including Service Orientated

Architecture design and development, application design and development and data integration from the Student Management System. This solution resulted in an increase in student satisfaction with the enrolments process from 20% to 86% within one year.

> Development of Griffith’s Online Admissions Solution and integration with a number of core campus solutions including the Student Management System.

> Enabled a SupportNOW capability for the Griffith University Enrolments product allowing Integral to provide delivery services between, and support during, each open Enrolment period.

> Provision of various services including Application Integration, Technical Implementation and Testing Services for the implementation of the new Griffith Student Portal. In addition to the Portal, this project delivered an automated test framework which has significantly reduced Griffith University’s defect rate into production.

> Establishment of Griffith University’s Integration Competency Centre. This incorporated current and future state integration maturity assessments using Open Group Service Integration Maturity Model, development of a roadmap to achieve target state maturity, implementation of integration methodologies, reference architectures and governance processes and the delivery of a number of critical enterprise services. This project is currently in progress.

Griffith University

Integral and Griffith University enjoy a long standing relationship that has evolved over the last 5 years. The

relationship began with a 6 week engagement for 1 person and has matured into a multi-year arrangement

resulting in Integral becoming Griffith University’s preferred Integration delivery partner.

Monash University

Monash University engaged Integral to undertake a design and architecture review of their Integration platform.

Western Sydney University

Western Sydney University engaged Integral via RedHat to provide consulting advice and to assist with the establishment of their integration platform, specifically an Enterprise Service Bus based on RedHat JBoss Fuse.

University of Queensland

Integral has had the privilege of engaging with University of Queensland on various projects over several years including:

> Establishing the architecture and platform for the University of Queensland data integration solution

> Integral assisted University of Queensland to implement Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) as part of the Data Hub technology solution to provide near real time data integration with heterogeneous data sources.

> Undertaking a review of the SiPass project and its integration with Campus Solutions establishing a clear and unambiguous plan and approach to move the solution forward

> Review Testing and Quality approaches utilised by University of Queensland across the Admissions project

Training and Knowledge Transfer

At the heart of every Integral engagement is the mantra to leave a legacy. We strive to ensure our engagements with our clients not only deliver the desired solution, but that our consultants enable knowledge transfer and capability uplift for our client organisations. This capability uplift can occur via certified vendor courseware or bespoke training delivery as part of our application solutions and services engagements.

As an Oracle Certified Training organisation Integral has authored and delivered Oracle Integration material to a number of university sector clients across Australia and South East Asia.

A recent example saw Integral consultants delivering a Service Orientated Architecture Adoption and Architecture Fundamentals training course to Adelaide University staff.
