I am pleased that you are considering studying in the UK. I hope this guide to NPTC will give you a flavour of what is on offer at the College.

I am very passionate about the international work we do at the College and it is because of this that I have decided to offer discounted programmes on all of our International Higher Education programmes for all International Students starting a new course with us in 2012/13.

NPTC is one of the largest colleges in Wales and sits in the southwest Wales area. We have eight campuses and more than 15,000 full- and part-time students. As we celebrate our 80th anniversary, we still have very high aspirations for all of our students and have built our reputation on our outstanding results year after year. We have a tremendous track record and as we celebrate the past we are also looking to the future with some exciting projects coming up.

As NPTC continues to go from strength to strength, there has never been a better time to study with us. Not only do we have a wide range of Higher Education courses for International Students but we have also continued to invest, literally, millions of pounds in the very best resources and facilities available for our students. We are very aware that in a global society universities and employers are not only interested in academic achievement but are also looking for people who have, throughout their time in education, undertaken activities that have taken them beyond their daily studies. As a large College with a global outlook, NPTC is able to provide a world-class experience for you.

HomeStay AccommodationWe realise how important it is to have a safe and comfortable place to live. Even if you would rather live by yourself, living with a family for the first few months will help you settle in and adjust to your new life in the UK.Your HomeStay family will provide you with a comfortable and warm room and space to study – usually, you will have broadband access to the Internet from your home. Your family will provide you with breakfast, an evening meal through the week and all your meals at the weekend. You will have full and open access to washing and laundry facilities. But just as importantly, your family will treat you like a real member of the family, and if you wish to accept, they will include you in family visits and events – they will quickly feel like your ‘second’ family. As you would expect, like your own home, you will live by the rules of the house and show the family respect. It’s a great cultural experience and you will learn so much about the local culture – a life experience that you will never forget!
