It is with great anticipation that we welcome you to this year’s event. December is a great opportunityto select new genetics for your program, the hay is up, the grain is in the bin and the calves have gone tomarket. Our great set of open females will have that extra growth, time and start on feed that is so impor-tant for the settling in of winter. The group of bred females will be far along in calf, with less time betweenclipping that “coupon” for your important investment dollars.

As you flip through the pages of this years catalog you will notice the name TMCK Durham Wheatthroughout the book. This is a bull that was purchased from Tubmill Creek and his dam, MAGS StrawberryPie, now resides as a donor at Highland. This 2012 National Champion Bull won the hearts of manypeople in the showring but has definitely won our heart in the pasture. Several of the feature females inthe offering are sired by TMCK Durham Wheat. We are extremely excited about our lot 1 herd sireprospect HSF Alcatraz! This is a moderate, powerful, smooth made bull that has an exceptional futureahead of him and is also a son of TMCK Durham Wheat.

For the 2013 fall show season we have decided to take a year off. With the weather being a littlechallenging this past summer we found ourselves “under the gun” to get everything accomplishedwithout having to, or wanting to, cut corners. We thought it would be in our best interest, and yours,to utilize our time and efforts in focusing our attention on this years sale offering.

One thing we added this year was to include videos of the individual lots. We have printed QRcodes along side each one to make it easy to access these videos from your mobile device. Please keep in mind that these weretaken well in advance of the catalog production and we hope this helps with your selections if you areunable to make it to the sale.
