The Smrekar and Wildcat trail system has seven different loops and trail links totaling 24 miles. The trails wind through woodlands and rolling terrain with scenic overlooks found at several locaons. Two rest areas along the trail have Adirondack shelters, small fireplaces and picnic tables. Drinking water is available at the Wildcat and Smrekar trail parking lots. Trail loops are designed for one-way bike and ski travel. All trail links are two-way travel. All of the trails except the Ridge Trail are groomed for both skate and tradional skiing. Trails are groomed aſter new snowfall or heavy weekend use. A warming shelter is provided during the ski season at the Smrekar parking lot. 1.6 miles of snowshoe trails start at the Smrekar parking lot. The one-mile loop trail has relavely flat terrain while the 0.6 mile secon offers a more rugged topography. Snowshoeing is allowed anywhere in the State Forest, but not on groomed trails. Trail rules

• Obey one-way signs

• No hikers, bikers, snowshoers or pets are allowed on groomed ski trails

• Skate skiers please stay on the skate lane to avoid damage to the ski track

• A State Trail Pass is required for bikers and skiers 16 and older

• No motorized vehicles are allowed on the trails

• A camping permit must be acquired prior to setting up camp along the trails

• Please carry out what you carry in – it is illegal to discard litter on state property
