Operation Clean-Up

The choice of a specific area for your clean up is yours. Remember to bring manpower to join in

Hockey 1st

Team boys by M. Chikumbu

O n Friday 15th of

May. The first

team boys played in

the annual Hillcrest

Rugby and Hockey

Festival.

On arrival of our oppo-

nents our first match was versus Hippo

Valley and our second match was versus

Murray Mac. It was our first time playing

as a team this season but our progress

has been quite satisfactory.

The results were as follows:

Hillcrest 0 Hippo valley 4

Hillcrest 1 Murray Mac 2

I would like to say to the boy’s good luck

in this season and special mention goes

to Takomborerwa Mtisi who played very

well.

The team would like to thank Mr. Chipu-

muro our coach, Mr Mutangadura our

headmaster for arranging this fixture and

God all mighty for the good weather and

preventing injuries.

SOME SPORTS REPORTS FROM TEAM CAPTAINS

Page 3

1st X1 Girls Hockey

T he 1st XI girls started off the day slowly

drawing to Mvurachena and Mile-

stone but once they got going, they were

nearly unstoppable. Beating Hippo Valley

and Murray Mac was a good confidence

boost for the girls and they finally hit their

straps against Chancellor where they

hardly left the ‘D’. Special mention

must go to Ruvimbo Matanga who

defended her goal like a trojan in

her first matches as the 1st Team

goalie. I look forward to seeing bet-

ter hockey in the weeks to come.

Results at a glance

W e are very grateful to those parents who contributed to-

wards our hosting of the Annual Rug-by and Hockey Festival. The billeting was superb and the parental support got off to a great start. We are proud of you our parents and sincerely hope you continue to support us in the upcoming fixtures.
