What is FMC?

Mission Statement

“We aim to educate, organize and mobilize the low-income and working-class families of the Filipino community in Southern California and address the issues and concerns that we face in our daily lives.”

Our ProjectRevamp/redesign the website to include several new features:● Clean and Modern Layout ● User Engagement● Easy to use: Translation, Mobile Friendly● Calendar of Events ● Newsletter Sign-up● Donations

Development ProcessOur development process was broken up into 6 steps● Gathering requirements● Learning new technology● Refining requirements● Design● Implementation● Making changes/fixing bugs

Gathering Requirements● How do we know what to create?● Knowing the right questions to ask● Communicating with Nikole

Learning new technology● We knew what we needed to do, but we needed to

know HOW to do it○ WordPress○ PHP○ HTML/CSS○ Github, localhost, subdomain

Refining requirements● Once we learned more about what we could do, we

were able to go back and modify requirements● What if requirement is not possible?

○ Time, experience, manpower● Requirement is good, but we coulddo even more!
