Dear Friends of the Himalayan Children’s Fund, I am delighted to let you know that we raised $14,700 in gifts for the recent consecrations at Namo Buddha and Tara Abbey. It was an honor to present this donation on your behalf. Many thanks to everyone who helped and sent congratulations. The consecrations for both Namo Boudha Yangtse Monastery and Thrangu Tara Abbey were officiated by Jamgon Kontrul Rinpoche. It was a very special time especially for the monks and nuns to finally see the fruition of so many years of hard work, planning, and hoping. There were many visiting Rinpoche’s and Lama’s from our own and other monasteries in Nepal and around the world. Thrangu Rinpoche’s monks, nuns and 40 students from SMD school worked long, hard hours managing everything from meals and water to cleaning and guiding. The preparation and organization was superb, allowing the guests to feel comfortable and welcome. I think this was not an easy task considering there were probably at least 2000 people in attendance for both ceremonies! Rather that give you a lot to read this time I will let the photos tell the story. More photos will be placed on rinpoche.com soon. I hope you enjoy!
