PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE
Dear Brothers, Sisters and loving young friends,
Jai Shree Ram!
The month of July was truly a devotional month comprising of
Kathas, Bhajans and Bhandaras. It was a great
honor to have a Sangeetmai Bhagwat Saptah Katha by
Mahamandleshwar Swami Sharnanand Ji Maharaj from
Pathankot, India. Another melodious Bhajan program by Suresh
Mehta, Hitesh Master & Party…some well
known artists from the Chicagoland area, was highly appreciated
& enjoyed by one and all. HOM was also
privileged to host Baba Balak Nath Bhandara with Bunty Bawa on
the 5th Sunday of July. With the dedicated
efforts of Mr. Ashok & Mrs. Shama Sharma, this program has
gained much popularity, and soon we shall be
installing Baba Balak Nath’s Murti in the Mandir.
I am truly grateful to all these wonderful Bhajan Singers,
Saints who visit the Temple from time to time, and
provide their Services to the Community.
Two Important Functions are coming up in the month of August…
Please mark your calendars for the 12th of
August, when we shall be celebrating the Independence Day of
India. I appeal to all of you to come in large
numbers and show your solidarity to your Motherland. We shall be
hoisting the National Flag, walking in a
Parade and singing Patriotic Songs to pay our tribute to our
Martyrs and glorify our Freedom. DO NOT MISS
THE OPPORTUNITY & BE A PART OF THIS PROUD EVENT!!!
I would also like to invite you all to join us in celebrating
the YOUTH NIGHT – a Showcase of Talent amongst
are kids. We are planning to hold this Function on Aug 25th in
the Temple Basement Hall. I encourage you all
Parents / Grand Parents to promote the future generation by
attending this program.
Upcoming month of September also has a line up of 2 important
Functions : The Birth of Lord Krishna –
Janamashtmi - on the 2nd of Sept. As always, this will be a
great program of Bhajan/Kirtan until Midnight,
when Shri Krishna will arrive at 12 o’clock amidst chanting and
ringing bells!!! The HOM Annual Fund Raising
Dinner on the 29th of Sept at Pearl Banquet Hall. We have high
goals to meet and elaborate Projects for the
growth of the Temple, so I would appeal to all YOU Devotees to
come forward and help in raising Funds.
As always, please share your views, suggestions and feedback for
the progress and growth of the Temple. I
along with my Team of dedicated members, would like to serve the
Community in the best possible way.
