Introduction

GLOBAL INPUT and GLOBAL HIPPO ASSOCIATION are organising 2nd International

Competition in English Language. The competition is open to students 1 ! 1" #ears o$d %romschoo$s in Bosnia and Her&ego'ina( Bu$garia( Croatia( Georgia( )acedonia( )ontenegro( Ser*iaand S$o'enia. Students +ishing to participate +i$$ ta,e tests at either c$osest registered LCCI centreor in one o% the competition appro'ed 'enues.

Competition Regulation

!" #ate and $enue

The competition +i$$ *e run in t+o rounds- pre$iminar# round and %ina$ round. The pre$iminar# round+i$$ *e he$d on 1th)arch /10 in registered LCCI centres or state schoo$s. State schools enrollinga group of candidates will be required to host the preliminary round of the competition. The tests %or the pre$iminar# round o% the competition +i$$ consist o% three parts- test o% readingcomprehension mu$tip$e choice @uestions8( test o% $istening comprehension and %ree3+riting tas,.The maEimum a$$o+ed time per part is sho+n in the ta*$e *e$o+. The tests are the same %or a$$ theparticipants

Tests o% reading and $istening are mar,ed *# an O)F de'ice and %or that reason need to *eproper$# %i$$ed in. Candidates are re@uired to use a penci$ +hi$e comp$eting the O)F %orm. An O)Fsamp$e %orm +i$$ *e a'ai$a*$e on the +e*site t+o +ee,s *e%ore the pre$iminar# round o% thecompetition at the $atest.

In case an O)F %orm is not proper$# %i$$ed in and the O)F de'ice cannot read it( the candidate +i$$automatica$$# *e dis@ua$i%ied.

I% the o'era$$ mar,s o% t+o or more candidates are e@ua$( the candidate +ho too, $ess time tocomp$ete the reading test is to *e ran,ed higher. In case the times o% t+o or more candidates are

The pre$iminar# round candidates +ho pass the tests +ith a minimum score o% and do not@ua$i%# %or the %ina$s( +i$$ *e gi'en an opportunit# to comp$ete their certi%icate a$$ %our s,i$$s8 and ta,ethe same $e'e$ eEam at a discounted price. The candidates +ho pass the tests +ith a minimumscore o% 7 and do not @ua$i%# %or the %ina$s( can either ta,e the same $e'e$ eEam or one $e'e$higher at a discounted price. INTFODUCTION

1. The competition coordinator is re@uired to send the detai$ed eEam timeta*$e per categor# *#

7th)arch /10 to in%o2hippo3competition.org.

/. Tests %or the pre$iminar# round o% the competition +i$$ *e sent to the LCCI centre< appro'ed

schoo$ *# 1/th )arch and must sta# c$osed unti$ the pre$iminar# round start time. The

competition coordinator is responsi*$e %or sa%e ,eeping o% the materia$s. Candidate ans+er

sheets must *e sent to GLOBAL HIPPO ASSOCIATION on 17th )arch /10. The

competition coordinator is re@uired to store the rest o% test materia$s in a $oc,ed and secure

room %or da#s a%ter the eEam. A%ter this period( the materia$s can *e used in c$ass or aspractice papers.

G;N;FAL F;GULATIONS

1. Appointed in'igi$ators are re@uired to ensure and maintain order *oth in and in %ront o% the

eEamination rooms.

/. On$# appointed in'igi$ators and registered candidates are a$$o+ed to ented the eEamination

rooms. The rest o% the teachers( sta%% memers and parents are not permitted in eEamination

rooms *e%ore( during or a%ter the eEam( up unti$ the center:s in'igi$ators ha'e co$$ected the

comp$eted eEam materia$ and sea$ed the en'e$ope containing the ans+er sheets.

5. Candidates ma# not enter the eEamination room unti$ instructed to do so.Be%ore the eEam(the in'igi$ators +i$$ read the names o% candidates +ho are registered %or the competition( and

on$# these candidates are a$$o+ed into the eEamination room. Upon entering the eEamination

room( the in'igi$ator chec,s i% the candidate ,no+s his
