Marty Bosy Copper Jewelry

“I love the feel, the organic look, and the color of copper – which changes with time, air, by applying beautiful patinas and glazes, or by simply heating it with a very hot flame.” Marty grew up in Central America, where she was taught embroidery and sewing in elementary school. She experimented with beadwork and other jewelry mediums before choosing copper.

Sallie Hackett Brown Reconstruction Sculpture

Sallie Hackett Brown creates “reconstruction” sculptures that draw from the inherent vitality of their pre-tooled wood and metal components. Through these she endeavors to express her observations of familial and societal situations. Before she worked in wood and metal, she had a fabric sculpture business that led to assemblage constructions. Her work has been represented by four galleries in Connecticut. She also worked as a crafts development consultant for Save the Children, Aid to Artisans, and the United Nations High Command for Refugees, specializing in product design and display, and has given presentations at the International Gift Show, World Bank, United Nations, U.S. Press Club in Washington, D.C., the Jordanian Embassy, and Save the Children Headquarters. She has also worked as a gallery manager in Manhattan. Earlier in her career, Sallie worked for several years as a photographic model and mannequin for the international couture market.

Sallie was educated at the State University of New York at Buffalo in an accelerated art education program. She has also studied at The New School for Social Research, The Creative Arts Workshop and The Guildford Handcrafts Center in Connecticut, and the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City.

CyberCraft Robots by Sarah Thee Campagna

“At CyberCraft Robots, our Orbiting Laboratory allows us to search local star systems for Artifacts from the Future. A small percentage of the ‘ordinary objects’ around you are actually fragments of disassembled Robots, Rayguns, and Spaceships! Our mission is to collect these items and reassemble them into the marvelous Artifacts they were intended to be.”

Our sculptures are composed of variety of metals and glass, and are constructed with fasteners – no adhesives, no welding. This method creates a strong and stable art object with the effortless, “these parts belong together” feel which is a hallmark of CyberCraft Robots. Each Artifact has a story and narrative that is part of the piece.

most types of photography, but travel and music are two main interests.

“Photography may be the only field more crowded than law, but I try and stand out by producing a quality product.”

Steven Kenny Painter

Steven Kenny was born in Peekskill, New York in 1962. He attended the Rhode Island School of Design, receiving a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 1984. His final year of art school was spent studying independently in Rome. This direct exposure to European art (especially the Baroque works of the Italian, Dutch and Flemish schools) had a significant effect on his painting style.

First settling in New York City, he gained notoriety as a freelance commercial illustrator. Clients included Sony Music, Time Magazine, AT&T, United Airlines, Celestial Seasonings, Microsoft and many others. His illustrations repeatedly received awards from the Society of Illustrators, Communication Arts Magazine and the Art Directors' Club of New York.

In 1997 Steven turned away from illustration in order to devote his full attention to the fine arts. Since that time he has lived in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia and his home state of New York before settling in St Petersburg, Florida. His award-winning paintings are exhibited in galleries across the United States and Europe.

From an early age the beauty and mystery of nature have deeply influenced his chosen subject matter: compositions that most often combine the human figure with elements from nature to comment on our interactions with the environment while symbolically alluding to the dynamics of human nature in general.

Ya La’ford Visual painter, installation artist, and muralist

“Many of my paintings have detailed work on the back and the front of the canvas and address the canvas much like a fabric. I create intricate pieces of work that are meditative and informed by my instinctive inner worlds and traditional cultural textile forms. I repurpose commercial culturally iconic materials and use hand-woven and hand-dyed materials to create pieces that speak to both highly developed consumer cultures and traditionally self-sufficient cultures who must interact economically with consumer cultures in a developing global environment.”

Brandon Marshall Abstract Assemblages

According to Brandon , a leaky shower changed his life. After fixing it with two tubes of mismatched caulking, he found the beauty in its shape and texture as it dried. Soon, using scraps of wood, caulking, and color, he turned his living room into his studio, and discovered who he was and what he loved. His passion continues. Now, Brandon creates large abstract assemblages using found objects, silicone and latex; about 90% of the color he applies is from food coloring. He creates layer upon layer to create his effects.

• Raised in Pittsburgh

• Studied at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, Slippery Rock State University (PA), and Full Sail University

“Growing up in Pittsburgh, I would find the most fascinating forms of abstraction when the detritus of yester years meets the ever powerful forces of nature. I would see this amazing formation everywhere in Pittsburgh and was always inspired to create this in my own way.”

“ It is my firm belief that creativity

and art should continue to be

taught in our schools and

neighborhoods because without it,

future engineers would have no

inspiration, mathematicians would

be needed less and so many other

non-art fields would be affected. Art

gives young minds training to
