The Dulaney High School History Honor Society, alongside the Dulaney HistoryClub, would like to cordially congratulate you upon your position as a potentialmember of this prestigious group.

The Dulaney High School History Honor Society was formed in recognition of studentswho have embraced their role as apprentice historians. This honor society will receive acharter granted through the National History Club. The faculty of the Social Studiesdepartment wishes to recognize students who have shown academic success withinhistory offerings and interest in the field. To be considered for membership students mustmeet the following requisites:

-Demonstrate outstanding interest, leadership, scholastic and service skills for history-Acquire a cumulative history average of 3.25 (B+) or higher across all history classes

taken in high school-Must belong to two or more organizations or clubs-Be enrolled in at least one upper level history class (Honors, GT, or AP) before or during

junior year-Upon graduation, have completed three credits of social studies classes, one of which ishonors level or higher

The National History Club is sponsored by many prestigious colleges such as YaleUniversity, Stanford University, Vanderbilt University, and Brandeis University. Being amember of History Honor Society shows dedication and knowledge of history.

The applications are due in Room 110 by Thursday, May 26 th. New members will be

welcomed at a ceremony scheduled for a later date.
