Christie’s, the international Fine Art Auctioneers, is seeking a Specialist for its Pop and Film department based in South Kensington, London.
The principal functions are to assist in securing property for sale, developing client relationships, catalogue and co-ordinate sale activity and ensure the smooth running of the department in conjunction with the departmental administrator.
We are looking for a bright and enthusiastic candidate who ideally will offer the following experience and skills:
Educated to degree level
Keen interest in and knowledge of music and film
Proven track record in researching and marketing
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Excellent team player with ability to multi-task
Proficiency in Word, Outlook and Excel
Fluency in English, whilst fluency in Italian or French would be a benefit
Minimum of three years paid work experience in related field

To carry out basic day-to-day maintenance of the Gallery's Picture Dossiers and undertake bibliographic research in support of the Curatorial Catalogue Programme. Provide the widest possible appropriate access (virtual and actual) to the collection information documented and/or held in the Dossiers, enhance information held in the Gallery's collection management system.
You must have a good first degree, preferably in art history or a related discipline, and a basic knowledge of a range of European languages.
A thorough knowledge of the history of Western European painting, 1200-1900, and familiarity with the National Gallery collection would be advantageous.
You should have a good understanding of collection documentation in an archive, library or museum environment and experience of bibliographic research.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required and the ability to work quickly and to agreed deadlines is important. Enthusiasm, adaptability, attention to detail, a methodical approach and accuracy are all key qualities.
Salary: £21,500 p.a.

Wardens enhance the visitor experience at official royal residences. Their role is to provide excellent customer service by:- Providing a warm welcome to visitors- Carrying out ticket and security checks- Helping with access for disabled people- Providing information about the buildings and exhibits
