VISION DOCUMENT

1. Aims and Objectives

The Aims and Objectives of the University Sports Board shall be:

(i) To educate University Students about the importance of Games, Sports and

Physical Education.

(ii) To plan and promote all round development of games, sports, physical

culture and physical education.

(iii) To organize training, coaching and education in Sports, Games and Physical

Education.

(iv) To encourage Sportsmanship generally and to promote friendly relation

among affiliated and constituent Colleges/ Campuses.

(v) To encourage such other activities as may be conductive to the aims and

objectives of the University Sports Board as enumerated above.

2. Vision

The University strives towards excellence in teaching-learning with relevant

curriculum and innovative research, promoting good governance and

inclusiveness by providing leadership for a knowledge society.

Plan, create and establish a holistic sports complex, around the Chaurase

Campus by constructing athletic and other games facilities of national standards

including swimming pools, outdoor and indoor sports and traditional Indian

games.

To protect, sustain and enhance sports culture, prepare sports persons for

modern competitive sports and games, and share knowledge, wisdom and

futuristic vision with gen-next. We are committed for excellence for sports.

3. Mission

A. To design and teach curriculum that is contemporary, competitive and

content-rich to make students creative, knowledgeable and entrepreneurial.

B. To provide infrastructure resources to facilitate access, equity and harmony

both for students and faculty.

C. To make administration efficient, transparent and adaptable to e-

governance.

Development Phases

2012-13 Construction of Multipurpose Hall/ Administrative Block.

2013-14 Construction of Cemented Courts.

2014-15 Chain link fencing of complete complex of 10 feet height with entry/exit

gates.

2015-16 Construction of Grounds, Swimming pool.

2016-17 Construction of Sitting Stair/Galleries around Grounds & Courts.

Organization:

2014-15 Workshop on organization of sports.

2015-16 Refresher course for organizing secretaries on rules of games and sports.

2016-17 Organization of North Zone/All India Inter University Tournament.
