With roundabout 8.000 students the Hochschule Hannover is the second largest university in the capital of the federal state of Lower Saxony. Hannover has placed itself very well as a place of education and research in the branch of science in the nationwide comparison. Beside the Hochschule Hannover there are seven more universities in Hannover:

• Oldest precursor was founded in 1791 as „Freye Zeichenschule”

Hochschule Hannover − Campus Expo Plaza
The presidency of the Hochschule Hannover and a part of the administration will move to a new location in autumn 2010: Expo Plaza. This is also where the Faculty III − Media, Information and Design is accomodated.
Together with the medium-related degree courses of the University for Music, Drama and Media Hannover the Faculty III − Media, Information and Design form the Kurt-Schwitters-Forum.
