Inland Adventures

Timboon to Camperdown ’Coast to Crater’ Rail Trail (Starts in Timboon 17km North of Port Campbell)

Dogs are permitted on leashes along the entire 34km rail trail including the very impressive Timboon Trestle Bridge. Stop in at Timboon Railway Shed Distillery which provides a water bowl for thirsty pets!

Timboon Bushland Reserve (17km North of Port Campbell)

Timboon Bushland Reserve (Cowleys Creek) permits dogs on leashes.

Heading East

Princetown (18km east of Port Campbell)

Dogs are permitted on a leash in Princetown Township.

Dogs are permitted on a leash on the Serpentine Boardwalk and on Old Coach Road East between the Princetown Recreation Reserve and the Serpentine Boardwalk.

Dogs are permitted on a leash in the Princetown Recreation Reserve

Dogs are not permitted beyond the Recreation Reserve on Old Coach Road East, on the Estuary or Ocean beaches that are a part of Great Otway National Park.

Johanna Beach

Dogs are permitted on leashes at Johanna Beach car park, camping area, walking tracks to the beach and Johanna Beach western section between Johanna River and western bluff.

Camperdown (50km North of Port Campbell)

Have you ever exercised your dog on a scoria cone or let them wade in a volcanic lake? Enjoy an amazing off leash area at Mt Leura and Sugarloaf. Dogs must be able to be controlled!

Dogs on leashes are permitted at South Beach on Lake Bullen Merri and in the wonderful Camperdown Botanical Gardens.
