Worksheets for Class - 1
Dear Parents,
The summer temperature soaring high, children look forward to vacation time, when they can
relax, visit friends and family, travel to see places and basically chill out enjoying those little
pleasure of life which get left behind during the busy school routine. The summer vacation
begins from 19th of May 2019 and school will re-open on 1st of July 2019.
To ensure that the children have a constructive holiday, some Holiday Homework & Projects
are given which will keep the child active and observant. These projects can easily be done by
the children and you could assist only where required. These will indeed provide an enjoyable
learning experience.
I hope you can cooperate closely with school, and be positive and responsible to arrange the
student’s summer life.
Finally, hope for our students – be safe, grow healthily. And we wish you success in work, family
happiness, and good luck in everything.
Regards

Happiness is in the air. Long awaited summer holidays are again ready to welcome you with
their warm showers.
Life need to be balanced fun and work. Summer Holidays give chance to you to relax. During
holidays, leisure replaces work as priority. You are filled with enthusiasm to explore, travel
and learn. Besides relaxing you should keep in mind the execution of the assigned work in a
well-planned manner. Motivate yourself to interact with knowledgeable books that would in

Moral stories with valuable lesson
The cows and the Tiger: -
Four cows lived in a forest near a meadow. They were good friends and did everything
together. They grazed together and stayed together, because of which no tigers or
lions were able to kill them for food.
But one day, the friends fought and each cow went to graze in a different direction. A
tiger and a lion saw this and decided that it was the perfect opportunity to kill the
cows. They hid in the bushes and surprised the cows and killed them all, one by one.
Moral
Unity is strength.
Honesty is The Best Policy: -
A milkman became very wealthy through dishonest means. He had to cross a river daily
to reach the city where his customers lived. He mixed the water of the river generously
with the milk that he sold for a good profit. One day he went around collecting the dues
in order to celebrate the wedding of his son. With the large amount thus collected he
purchased plenty of rich clothes and glittering gold ornaments. But while crossing the
river the boat capsized and all his costly purchases were swallowed by the river. The
milk vendor was speechless with grief.
At that time, he heard a voice that came from the river, “Do not weep”. What you have
lost is the only illicit gains you earned through cheating your customers.
MORAL
Honest dealings are always supreme.
MORAL VALUES
Learn four “Golden Words” and when we should use those words: -
• Thank you: -
Always say “thank you" when someone gives you a gift or a compliment.
Say “thank you" when someone does something for you.
• Sorry: -
Always say “sorry” if you hurt or teased someone or lost something that belonged to
someone else.
Say “sorry” if you broke something (even by accident), or if you did something you
know that was wrong.
• Please: -
Say “please" when you are asking someone to give you something or to do something
for you.
Do not say “please" over and over again as a way to beg for something you want- that is
not a polite thing to do at all.
• Excuse me: -
Say “excuse me" when your body makes an embarrassing noise such as a burp, hiccup,
sneeze.
When you must interrupt someone or ask them to move, say “Excuse me, please".
What will you say when: -
1. Your Grandmother gives you a puppy for your birthday. ( )
2. Your best friend tells you your new shoes look really cool. ( )
3. You want someone to pass you the salt, which is at the far end of the table. ( )

your cubby or locker. ( )
