acknowledges all whose efforts culminated in the recent signing of an accord for

peaceful elections by all Presidential Candidates in the December 2012 Presidential

and Parliamentary Polls in Ghana, but calls for the expansion of the limited objectives

to embrace a Holistic, Inclusive, Comprehensive, Sustainable Concept, Culture and

Practice of Human Rights-centred Peace, Stability and Security before, during, after

and beyond term-end electioneering appeals. As a game-changing trailblazer of rapid

declaration of political independence, Ghana has qualified pedigree to introduce a new

tradition of enduring Peace, Stability and Security and we urge this with the fiercest

urgency of time. This would entail the conclusive decommissioning and replacement of

the foreign-dependent neo-Colonial Nations States of Africa with realistic independent

sovereign African Peoples States, where the state, politicians and politics serve the

majority electorates and upholds their fundamental human rights, needs, wellbeing

and safeguard of the sovereignty of the African Nation first and foremost. The neo-

Colonial State is a false statebased on anti-African injustice, designed to entrenchdependency under African self-rule in service to forces malevolent to the Citizenship

Rights and Fundamental Human Rights Interests of the African electorate,

Sovereignty, Peace, Stability and Insecurity.

Half a century of post-Colonial, neo-Colonial self-rule in African indicates that the

neo-Colonial States of Africa are reform-hostile and unfit-for-purpose for guaranteeing

Sustainable Peace, Stability and Security, beyond limited spates of the same that

inherently contain chaos, indirect violence, torment, dehumanisation, helplessness

and hopelessness for Majority Citizens in perpetuity. Critically, the neo-Colonial Stateis purposed to secure the Exclusive but Unsustainable Peace, Stability and Security of

the Ruling Elite only, to the detriment of the Collective Wellbeing, Welfare,

Fundamental and Citizenship Rights of the Electorate Majority Citizens, which is a

recipe for waiting disasters. Political Elections-related physical violence, is without a

doubt an unacceptable form of instability, insecurity and lack of peace and it is right

to take measures against it, but there are several forms of violence related to the body

politics and real politics in neo-Colonial States complete with their causes which must

be addressed with equal seriousness for the peace, security and stability of the

Electorate Majority Citizens. Ghana has a golden opportunity to begin to formulate a

model of Comprehensive, Inclusive, Holistic, Sustainable, Human Rights-driven Peace,

Stability and Security replicable across the African Continent and the world. There is

always the option of the private sector for those who aspire to champion their own

personal interests; public service and politics is not one such sector!

Dr Koku Adomdza, President of the GREAT Trust, the Council for Afrika International

and the Afrika Liberation Society, pioneering race, ethnic equalities and human rights

think and doing thanks that promote creative and innovative paradigms, reflects asfollows. Throughout the history of humankind, honourable men and women do not

The nature, character and quality of Peace, Stability and Security at any time reflects

astuteness of Leadership that percolates onto and transforms the Electorate MajorityCitizens into a critical mass of reliable actors and protectors of Collective Peace,

Stability and Security.

The desirable destination of Peace, Stability and Security is assured through the

degree to which Leadership, Electorate and Majority Citizens are equipped with Peace,

Stability and Security-literacy, sensitisation, enlightenment and alertness. The

proactive promotion of Peace, Stability and Security must however not be short-

termist, but must be an enduring, long-term proposition before, during, after and

beyond political elections, mainstreamed and integrated into the dynamics, strata and

edifice of national culture. We advocate Permanent, Collective, Sustainable, Holistic,

Inclusive, Peace, Stability and Security Always and Everywhere.

In the light of the irrefutable Crimes Against Humanity inflicted upon the African

Continent and the African Peoples through several centuries of the Wider African

Holocaust by unimaginable dictatorial, supremacist and repressive political regimes in

human history through which hundreds millions perished, the politics of and political

regimes under African Self-rule must be verifiably about the Total Liberation of theAfrican Continent and the African Peoples from every form of oppressive shackles to be

justified i.e. stemming the tide of the imperialist African Genocide. Throughout these

centuries, the African Continent and her Peoples have known no Peace, Stability or

Security, but relentless chaos, violence, insecurity and dehumanisation through the

harshest and most callous, systemic and organised erosion of fundamental human

rights possible in its history.

Against this backdrop, the GREAT Trust, Council for Afrika International and the

Afrika Liberation Society are clear that African Politics under African Self-rule must

primarily be about SERVICE TO ALL CITIZENS, ACTIVE PURSUIT OF NATIONAL

INTEREST, PREMIUM VALUE-ADDITIONALITY, JUSTICE, COMPETENCE, PEAK

PERFORMANCE, DELIVERY, TANGIBLE RESULTS, HIGH MORALITY, PRUDENT

STEWARDSHIP, HIGHEST STANDARDS OF PROBITY, ACCOUNTABILITY &

TRANSPARENCY, THE GUTS TO BRING FOREIGN IMPERIALIST CRIMINALITY TO

ACCOUNT, MANIFESTATION OF COLLECTIVE FUNDAMENTAL HUMAN RIGHTS, THE

PROTECTION OF NATIONAL SOVERIEGNTY, RAPID ADVANCEMENT OF

INDEPENDENCE AGAINST DEPENDENCY WITH A FIERCE URGENCY OF TIME. It is

through this unambiguous clarity of vision, mission and purpose of post-Colonial

Liberation Politics that Sustainable, Holistic, Credible Peace, Stability and Security

necessary for the restoration of Humanity, Freedom and Justice for the African

Peoples can be attained. The Public Service in Politics is about serving the collective

national interests first and foremost and is never about self-interest. Those who

cannot fulfil the high expectations of public service always have the option of the

private sector. Confusing the two is a potential cause of chaos, instability and

insecurity.

African Politics that centres on the monopoly and personalisation of power, fraughtwith corruption, greedy and illicit accumulation of personal wealth, self-

aggrandisement, arrogance, unbridled pride, ethnic supremacism, cronyism,

treasonable acts, undermine of national sovereignty, reckless and negligent economic

loss to the nation and condescension towards the Citizens to whom power legitimately

belongs, is a recipe for disaster, chaos, violence, instability, insecurity and the absence

of peace, for which Leadership must be held to account. Needless to reiterate, the task

of reconstruction after several centuries of imperialist exploitation requires matchless

sophistication, wisdom, candour and rare selflessness which gives no room for the

pursuit of parochial, selfish, unpatriotic, unethical agendas, criminal acts andsabotage of national sovereignty in cahoots with the dark forces of imperialism that

have the blood of hundreds millions of African ancestors on their hands, complete

with mountains of generational curse, until such time that full atonement is made.

Further, no corrupt political system, democratic or otherwise, is able and capable of

delivering Holistic, Sustainable, Inclusive Peace, Stability and Security without

unwieldy, laborious, layers of ineffectual security infrastructure, a police-state where

the full battery of fundamental human rights are severely repressed while the interests

of the ruling minority are protected. The phenomena of Sustainable, Enduring Peace,

Stability and Security, are best served and promoted by the extent to which the

Collective Lifestyles and Morality of Leadership reflect the quality of life of the Majority

Citizens. The greater the difference between the privileges of leadership and the lived

experiences of Majority Citizens, the severe the fault-lines of potential instability,

insecurity and absence of peace. Similarly, the greater the disconnect between the

Manifesto Promises of leadership and the aspirations of Majority Electorate and their

dependants, the weaker the foundation of credible but imperative Peace, Stability and

Security. From this perspective, qualitative and quantitative Holistic Peace, Stability

and Security are not mere abstract constructs but essential, relevant, utilitarian,practical, verifiable, observable and measurable outcomes, deliverable through the

virtual honest process of talking, acting, promoting, making and sustaining all three.

An honest, credible, transparent, competent and accountable political regime, with

crystal-clear clarity about the cardinal purpose of political power being serving the

people and country, is imperative for Sustainable, Holistic, Inclusive, Collective Peace,

Stability and Security.

Quintessentially, the most credible, enduring Peace, Stability and Security is that

which guarantees the Collective Fundamental Human Rights of All Citizens includingthose of vulnerable minorities. Needless to opine, there is no acute infliction of

insecurity, instability and lack of peace in the lives of Citizens besides the compromise

or non-realisation of Holistic Fundamental Human Rights. To the citizen without

Fundamental Human Needs, life is reduced to persistent chaos, violence, instability,

helplessness and hopelessness and it is leadership responsibility to grasp this critical

clarity. When citizens go through persistent incredible hardship that voids their

dignity as human beings, whilst leadership observably and rapaciously accumulate

inexplicable wealth, they are automatically trusted into a mentality of nothing to lose,

nothing to live for. It is crucial therefore for leadership to be competent enough to

implement beyond promises policies that prevent Citizens from feeling left out,

cheated, exploited, manipulated and taken advantage of and used simply for the

transfer of power from one set of leaders to another or the entrenchment of one set of

leaders in power.

There is significant danger in the false premise and concepts of Exclusive, Parochial,

Limited, Peace, Stability and Security that protects the welfare of leadership or a few

against the Collective Wellbeing of the Majority Citizens including Electorate who givemandate to rule in democratic societies. Deliberate deception, dishonesty,

opportunism and lack of transparency in commitment to lasting Peace, Stability and

Security is always a recipe for disaster and must be discouraged at all costs. The most

enduring, sustainable and credible Peace, Stability and Security is one that is

Inclusive, Holistic, Collective and Human Rights-oriented possible through leadership

righteousness, morality, transparency and competence. It is also the most priceless,

viable and irreplaceable and so the GREAT Trust, Council for Afrika International and

Afrika Liberation Society calls for a Sustainable, Holistic, Inclusive, Human Rights-

driven Consciousness, Concept, Culture and Practice at all times i.e. before, during,after and beyond political elections.

In peace, stability and security-seeking and making, the power of words, language

and communications must not be under-estimated. In any eventuality, circumstance,

platform and environment, what people verbalise, articulate or pronounce determines

their state of mind and their ability to handle responsibility of high office that entail

stewardship over the Collective Welfare and Wellbeing of Citizens, the Peace, Stability

and Security of Persons and the Public.

Irresponsible, inflammatory, demagogic words, verbalised or written communication,

incites violence, instability and insecurity similar to Adolf Hitler, the same way as

responsible, appeasing language could instil peace-lovingness similar to Rev Dr Martin

Luther King Jr. and Mahatma Ghandi. It takes a few inappropriate words to incite

people to violence, instability and insecurity, but it takes far too many words,

negotiations to restore peace, stability and security. In similar vein, peace, stability

and security-making andkeeping takes comparatively less resources and effort,

where wisdom abides, whereas it takes far more resources, efforts to repair thedamage, destruction and chaos by violence, insecurity and instability. Leadership

responsibility to secure a Culture of Permanent, Inclusive, Holistic, Collective, Human

Rights-oriented Peace, Stability and Security is a serious business, which everyone

aspiring to lead must have commitment and competence.

The foregoing exhibition of credible political ethics, that facilitates an Inclusive,

Holistic, Collective, Sustainable, Fundamental Human Rights-oriented Concept,

Culture and Practice of Peace, Stability and Security harbours tremendous potential

for establishing a formidable foundation for robustly managing, monitoring and safe-keeping the new desirable regime. The ensuing strong foundation backed by earned

Supreme Moral Authority, commanded by credible politicians and politics, backed by

a Collective, Inclusive Peace, Stability and Security-savvy Citizens to robustly,

effectively and resolutely deal with any criminal groups that attempt to sabotage the

preferred reality of tranquillity which erupts from time to time in Africa, sometimes on

a protracted basis from which many non-participating people sustain irreparable loss.

As evidence portrays, no orthodox Peace, Security and Stability agencies are able on

their own to guarantee full-proof outcomes of the same. Beyond that, any politics and

political system that inherently and observably manipulative to enrich politicians to

the detriment of the Majority Citizens is a vicious, violent, cruel, unstable, insecure

proposition which suffocates peace and must be discouraged at the speed of light.

Credible political leadership, backed by a Peace, Stability and Security-literate

Citizens offers the best yet potential to attain, protect and maintain the highest degree

of Permanent, Collective, Inclusive, Holistic and Human Rights-oriented Peace,

Stability and Security. We cite below two relevant quotes from one of the selfless

political lights of Africa.

scorned for centuries, so that our peoples may never more be exploited by imperialists

not only by people with white skin, because we do not confuse exploitation or

exploiters with the colour of men's skins; we do not want any exploitation in our

make this call for the authorities and peoples of Ghana to utilise the December 2012

General elections to pioneer a new renaissance and culture of political leadership that

guarantees the Collective, Holistic, Collective, Credible Peace, Stability and Security

driven by high standards of fundamental human rights, the welfare and wellbeing of

All Ghanaians not only because it is right because Ghana has a pedigree in Africa and

the world from the historic events of decolonisation that catalysed the African

decolonisation process. In the light of needless conflicts, wasteful death and

destruction that ravage parts of the African Continent, there is no reason why Ghana

cannot lead the Holistic Peace, Stability and Security renaissance now for the benefit

of Ghanaians and the entire African Continent. It is time to call time on the

mercenaries and merchants of war, conflict, instability and insecurity on the African

Continent and bring Permanent, Holistic Peace, Stability and Security to the long-

suffering African Peoples and transform Africa into a beacon of Sustainable Prosperity

in Tranquillity, with guaranteed fundamental human rights and fulfilled needs, aworthy legacy to bequeath Africas Youth.

Like Ghana, Africa has the pedigree of being the scientifically irrefutable origin of

human kind and the cradle of human civilisation, besides contributing incredible

goodwill to the world, albeit taken for granted for far too long. In the light of conflicts

numerous conflicts that ravage the world, to which there are no clear answers, a

model of fundamental human rights-driven and justice-centred Holistic, Permanent,

Collective Peace, Stability and Security would be of tremendous relevance, adaptation

and application across the world. The December 2012 elections is a tremendousopportunity for resounding ethical impact, within Ghana, the entire African Continent

and we urge Ghana to seize and utilise it appropriately and wisely with required sense

of urgency.
