A tribute to motherhood that seemed to say it all; in gratitude and praise for all the mothers now and since the dawn of time, I’d like to pass it on to you.
“Somebody” said you carry a child in your womb for nine months. “Somebody” doesn’t know you carry your child in your heart forever. “Somebody” said it takes six weeks to get back to normal after you’ve
had a baby. “Somebody” doesn’t know that once you’re a mother, normal never
happens again. “Somebody” said you learn how to be a mother by instinct. “Somebody” never had a 3-year-old stick beans up her nose. “Somebody” said being a mother is boring. “Somebody” never rode in a car driven by a teenager with a driver’s
permit. “Somebody” said if you’re a “good” mother, your child will “turn out
perfectly.” “Somebody” thinks every child comes as a clean white blotter, with a
guarantee. “Somebody” said you don’t need an education to be a mother. “Somebody” never helped a fourth grader with math homework. “Somebody” said you can’t love a fifth child as much as you love the
first. “Somebody” never had five children. “Somebody” said the hardest part of being a mother is labor and
delivery. “Somebody” never had to choose a headstone for her child. “Somebody” said a mother can do her job with her eyes closed and one
hand tied behind her back. “Somebody” never organized 10 giggling Brownies to sell cookies. “Somebody” said a mother’s job is done when her last child leaves
home. “Somebody” never had grandchildren. “Somebody” said your mother knows you love her, so you don’t need to
tell her. “Somebody” isn’t a mother.

FAITH FORMATION High School Graduating Seniors: Holy Cross would like to honor our high school graduating seniors with Graduation Mass and reception. If you are a parent of a graduating senior, or a graduating senior, please email your name and school to the Faith Formation office so we can send you an invitation to this special event. Registration for the 2019-2020 Faith Formation Year: Registration for the 2019-2020 faith formation year will begin on Sunday, April 28th and run through August 11, 2019. You may register online at the following link https://form.jotform.com/90835571137157 or in person Mondays and Wednesday from 10:00 am-4:00 pm in the Faith Formation Office. Registration Sundays will be May 19th, June 23rd, July 28th and August 11th from 10:00 am – 3:00pm. We encourage families to register online and avoid having to come in to register.

Catechist and Catechist Assistants Needed for the 2019 -2020 School year By our Baptismal promise we are all called to Evangelize, Catechize and be witnesses to our Catholic faith. Is God calling you to share your faith with the young church? Not sure if you are qualified to be a catechist or a catechist assistant? Catechesis certification classes will be offered on Wednesday, June 19th and Wednesday, July 24th from 6:00-9:00pm plus all Catechist are encouraged to attend the Atlanta Catechist Conference on Saturday, August 17th from 8:30-5:30 at the Renaissance Waverly Hotel on Cobb Parkway (re-registration re-quired, see Barb Garvin, Director of Faith Formation too register) Ongoing certification classes will continue monthly throughout the school year so that you have the skills you need to share your faith. Our young people and youth NEED YOU! Don’t think you can teach? Are you willing to help? we have great needs for bilingual adults to serve as assistants with older teens who would like to teach. Kaleidoscope – Vacation Bible School Registration for Kaleidoscope Vacation Bible School is open and available online at https://form.jotform.com/80806022449151
Kaleidoscope will take place the week of June 19th -14th. This program is open to children entering Pre-K through 6th grade in the Fall. Cost $35.00 for Holy Cross Parishioners with a family max of $100.00/non parishioner rate is $50.00 with family max of
$150.00. Registration deadline is May 31st. Paper registrations are available outside the Faith Formation office. Adult volunteers are still needed, if you are willing to share your week with the young church, please contact Barb Garvin at 678 689-2819 ext 4 or
email at [email protected] Adults volunteering all week get a volunteer discount of only $10.00 per child.

FAITH FORMATION CONTINUED Drama Camp
Do you have a 7th thru 12th grader who loves to perform, is interested in set building or just looking for something fun to do this summer? This summer our Drama Camp will be putting on “The Addams Family. The cost of the two week camp is $275.00. Youth attend Monday through Friday the weeks of July 8th -12th and July 15th – 18th from 9:00am -5:00pm and Friday, July 19th from 12:00pm – after the first show. Performances are Friday, July 19th - 8:00Pm , Saturday, July 20th -8:00pm and Sunday, July 21st – 4:00pm. Registration is available online at https://form.jotform.com/80806264649161.
