Thank You Father Joseph Cox, OSB: Please join me in thanking Father Joseph Cox for his month long ministry and service to our Logan County Parishes. I know that many parishioners enjoyed having Father Cox during the month of June, and particularly benefited from the evening spiritual reflections he offered. You can reach him at the following address:

Father Joseph Cox, OSB St .Meinrad Archabbey St. Meinrad, IN 47577 [email protected] Welcome back: Father John Pham returns to our Logan County Parishes on July 3, 2015 after a month long study program at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. Welcome back Father John! Tantur Ecumenical Institute, Jerusalem: Father Laible will be at Tantur from June 29 to July 22, 2015. While taking classes in Scripture, Church History, Inter-faith dialogue as well as visiting spiritual and historical sites, he will also be assisting the administration of Tantur in developing a broader out-reach program so military chaplains from all branches of the Armed Forces can participate in the continuing education classes offered at Tantur. Father Simon, Father John, Sister Mary Lou and visiting clergy will be providing spiritual care to our Logan County Parishes in Father Laible’s absence. Sending my daily prayers and Mass intentions for you, your loved ones and for our Logan County Parishes while I am in the Holy Land: I’ll look forward to seeing you when I return later this month.

Our Logan County Roman Catholic Community App is pursuing new opportunities to foster a stronger parish life and better engage the new Evangelization. As a part of these efforts we are happy to announce that we now have our own App for Apple and Android phones. Our new App will allow us to send you useful and important messages throughout the week regarding our Logan County Roman Catholic Community life and events, and allow you to reply to messages or RSVP for events. There will be no need for parishioners with smart phones to remember to silence their phones before Mass. The App will send you a reminder to silence your phone 20 minutes before the Mass you select. Many more great features will be a help to all of us, such as, daily Mass readings, Catholic news, prayers and prayer reminders, quick access to online tithing, Confession reminders, and our weekly bulletin. So, be sure to download the App after Mass today by visiting myparishapp.com or searching for myparish on your phone’s App store, and stay connected with us all week long.

Logan County Roman Catholic Community Prayer Chain To sign up, go to our website www.logancountycatholic.org and click on Prayer Requests, then click on Prayer Chain Subscription link at the bottom of the page. MAKING A BIG DIFFERENCE, WITH LITTLE EFFORT!

Dove, Inc. is a Christian charity organization, based in Decatur. This organization has begun a “Coupons for Overseas Military Program” that benefits the soldiers, and their families, stationed overseas. The program accepts coupons for both food and non-food products, as long as they are manufacturer’s coupons - not store coupons. Participating bases and commissaries will even accept expired coupons as old as six months. Several bases have written the organization letting them know how much the effort is appreciated. A few types of coupons that are also appreciated are coupons for products and food for babies and dogs. The volunteers for Dove Inc. also feel that this program lets the soldiers know that they have not been forgotten by civilians back home. If you wish to donate coupons for this organization, please place them in an envelope and send them to the Parish Office via Sunday collection, bringing them by the Parish Office or by mailing them to the Parish Office at 316 South Logan Street, Lincoln, IL 62656.
