Parish Festival News “When patterns are broken, new worlds emerge.”

With the pandemic still amongst us, we know the Parish Festival has to make some changes. The festival board is meeting and decisions had to be made. We will continue to meet as we develop a “New” Parish Festival. As this is our major fundraiser for the year and the parish does rely on the proceeds ($45,000) to help with the general operating of the church and school we have to be creative and careful what we can do. What we know: We had to drop a few booths such as our dinner, live auction. white elephant, kids games. But we promise we will develop new things so we can continue to grow as a family and community!

Father’s Day Prayer God our Father, we give you thanks and praise for fathers young and old.

We pray for young fathers, new embracing their vocation; may they find courage and perseverance to balance work, family and faith in joy and sacrifice.

We pray for our own Father’s around the world whose children are lost or suffering; may they know that the God of compassions walks with them in their sorrow.

We pray for our earthly fathers, those to whom you have entrusted the responsibility to provide loving protection of their families and guidance of their children. We thank you, also, for our priests and bishops, whose spiritual fatherhood is so vital to the faith of your people.

We pray for men who are not Fathers but still mentor and guide us with fatherly love and advice.

We remember Fathers, Grandfathers and Great Grandfathers who are no longer with us but who live forever in our memory and nourish us with their love. Amen

Next weekend!

One whole hour? A whole hour of silence?

A whole hour of just sitting? What will I do for an hour?

We challenge you...try it, sit back, listen, pray, read, look at Jesus
