HOME ALARM

You can set up a ‘home alarm’ on your account, so you can be alerted if an intruder is detected by the camera(s). If the alarm status is “Armed”, after an event is captured the event goes through a process called ‘image intelligence’ to distinguish if the event has been triggered by human motion, or other motions such as shadows, pets or just light changes.

The image intelligence process is a complicated process, which analyses the recorded events and categorises the human motion triggered events, and then sends alerts to the devices linked to your account as push notification or email format or even a phone call if you miss both email and push notification for more than 5 minutes. You can have all three if you choose to.

TIMELINE

The Timeline tab, at the bottom of the screen gives you access to all your alerts which were triggered by a human motion. The ‘Timeline’ will compile all your events from the same alarm within 30 minutes and add them all together for an easier access. If there is a 5 minute gap between the motions, the Timeline, would start a new incident and would start adding to it.

Please note, if the motion continues, the timeline would keep compiling and if you refresh the page (by pulling down your finger on the screen) the duration of the timeline would increase.

DIFFERENT TYPE OF ALARMSCammy provides you with three different alarm modes, so you can choose what best suits your needs and mostly what is compatible with your setups such as your location, your internet service, and your mobile phone or simply your lifestyle.

Your three choices are: • Auto arm/disarm, • Scheduling and • Manual arm/disarm

You can also have a combination of the alarms. Each of these options has its application which will be explained more in details.

OPTION 1: AUTO ARM/DISARM

Auto arm/disarm is the most common option used by our customers. With this option enabled, as soon as you get home, the alarm system gets disabled and 5 minutes after you leave home, it gets enabled automatically. Cammy uses a geofence to determine when you are home or not. The geofence will be set up around the area where the cameras are located, and the alarm will automatically be armed/disarmed when you leave or enter the geofence area.

When you select this option, you are prompted with a notification that asks for the location of the cameras. It usually detects your location based on the location of your phone, but we recommend that you type in your address in the area provided. The pink circle which appears around your home on the map is the geofence area. The alarm will be armed/disarmed as you enter or leave that zone.

AUTO ARM/DISARM REQUIREMENTSIn order to avoid false alarms, certain settings needs to be working accurately at all times, so you avoid receiving false alarms. The requirements for this feature are:

• Active GPS on your mobile device

• Permission for Cammy app to use GPS

• Reliable internet on your mobile device (4G/LTE)

By having all the requirements above, you can be sure that the alarm system is always working to your favour, and would automatically arm when you leave the geofence area (After 15 minutes) to avoid false alarms and immediately will be disarmed when you enter the geofence zone.

Leave the app running in the background and do not force close the Cammy app (double tap on the home button and swiping up). This will ensure that Cammy can always access your GPS to have the alarm arm/disarm more accurately. Please note, doing this would NOT affect your battery life or data usage.

YOU JUST CREATED YOUR AUTO ALARMOnce you see the screen on the left, that means that you have successfully created an alarm. The means that the alarm is on automatic, and it is ‘Auto Disarmed’ if you are detected to be on premises. Once you leave the geofence area (the pink circle in last step, page 12) that will change to ‘Auto Armed’ (after 5 minutes).

“AUTO ALARM” APPLICATIONSBusy lifestyle, erratic schedule, multiple people at home, want a security solution that is smart and works without you having to remember to ‘Arm’ it when you leave the house?

If any of these apply to you, this Alarm Mode will keep an eye on what you love most when you can’t.

As mentioned before, it would also be disarmed as soon as you enter the pink circular area (page 12 step 3), so your cameras are not sending you alerts of yourself while you are home. This is the easiest way of using your alarm system; however, it requires your mobile’s GPS and the internet to be running perfectly fine.

OPTION 2: SCHEDULING

If you have a stable schedule for leaving home and returning back, you can setup your Cammy alarm so that it arms and disarms according to a preset schedule. If all family members don't have Cammy app on their mobile phones, or Internet reception is not reliable, this option can be very useful.

You can setup your seven days of the week, and the alarm would be armed/disarmed on the clock without any interference.

Cammy's scheduling option is very flexible. For instance if a cleaner visits your home regularly, you can include it in the alarm schedule to avoid receiving false alarms. You can even combine this option with the auto option and program the alarm to switch to auto mode based on a schedule.

SETUP: SCHEDULING

If you wish to create a schedule for your home alarm, you first need to follow the steps in pages 11-13 and then customise the alarm with your desired schedule.

After creating an alarm, tap on the red bar below your alarm (left screen-shot) to go to the alarm section (right iPhone). This page tells you how the alarm will act during each period. (armed, disarmed or auto)

SETUP: SCHEDULING (CONT.)

You can tap on each of the lines from the previous page, and customise how you want the alarm to behave. Once you touch on Monday line, you are prompted by the picture on the left. You can select a time, and program the alarm to arm/disarm for that period. During any period of time which is not covered by the schedule, the alarm will be in auto mode.

The picture on the right-hand side is just an example of scheduling.

SCHEDULING APPLICATIONSLet’s have a closer look at this alarm and see its features. After all, it needs to fit your lifestyle. Once again, you might prefer to use the scheduling if you do not meet the requirements for auto arm/disarm feature (page 9, 13).

This particular alarm example shown right here is for someone who always leaves around 9 am, and usually comes back by 7 pm. Please note, on Monday there is a period of 2 hours, where the alarm is disarmed, this is because a cleaner visits this house every Monday between 12 to 2 pm; to avoid receiving false alarms. The ‘light red’ is on Auto arm/disarm, and the ‘Red’ means the alarm is armed, and the ‘Grey’ means the alarm is disarmed.

Please note, scheduling always overwrites the location. For example if you have the alarm on ‘Scheduled Armed’ for 5 pm to 7 pm but you arrive home at 6:30 pm, you would receive alerts for the period of 30 minutes.

OPTION 3: MANUAL ARM/DISARM

Cammy also gives you the option to arm/disarm manually/disarm your alarm, whenever you want. This option is for those customers who do not fulfil the requirements for Auto arm/disarm (page 9, 14), and also if you do not have a specific schedule of when they enter or leave the premises. This option overrides the other two options as you control it yourself, and you make the decision when the alarm is armed or disarmed.

The manual option can also be used for your auto or scheduled arm/disarm, as this overwrites every other option. For example, if you have the alarm set to ‘Schedule Disarmed’ and you need to leave the house, you can tap on ‘Arm ’ and set the alarm to arm manually and overwrite the schedule. This would have the same effect for the Auto arm/disarm option.

Please note, when you tap on the disarm option, it gives you further options to disarm indefinitely, or disarm for a period of time. (e.g. 30 min, 2 hours, 8 hours, etc.)

The red sign that states ‘ALWAYS ARMED’ indicates the current status of the alarm. When you disarm it the status changes

You can further modify your alarm to suit your needs. You can have access to the alarm settings by going to your ‘Alarms’ page, and tap on on the top right-hand side of the screen.

When you tap on this option, the app prompts you for advanced options, which you can modify to have your alarm suit your needs, and your requirements. We highly recommend to go through these settings, to know about the full features of Cammy.
