  • Advantages of the My Home system

Lights and rolling shutters Automation system

Description:My Home permits to manage the lighting control in a most efficient way and with the maximum comfort. The switching ON of the light points may take place at a single, group or general level, also through the adjustment of the brightness at the requested level. The pleasant and noiseless digital controls are used just like standard wall mounted push buttons and thus the utilization habits we are all used to do not change at all. My Home also allows to control motorized devices like blinds, rolling shutters, jalousies or any other automatic devices in an extremely valid and comfortable manner. The control of the rolling shutters too may take place at a single, group or general level, through both standard wall mounted digital controls and a remote control or through timed devices . With My Home, even tiring and repetitive actions like rising and lowering every day the rolling shutters become a pleasant game.

Advantages:Visualization of the ON/OFF state: the digital My Home controls show the ON/OFF state through the lighting up of LEDs with different colours: this is very useful in order to locate the light points at night, as well as to avoid forgetting ON lights one does not see directly (ex. bathroom, lumber room, outdoor entrance light).

Noiselessness of the control: the digital My Home controls are used like standard push buttons and are absolutely noiseless.

Handiness: the digital My Home controls are extremely simple and immediate to use. The interlock device for doors and windows allows to avoid keeping pressed the push button to complete the operation.

Single, general or group switching ON/ACTIVATION: according to its configuration, the same control can be dedicated to switch ON/OFF a light, a group of lights or all the lights of the house or to rise/lower a rolling shutter, a group of rolling shutters or all the rolling shutters of the house. The use of key covers with silk-printed icons makes the immediate recognition easier. A general switching OFF command of all the lights of the house turns out to be extremely useful if placed near the entrance door, whereas a general operating command for groups of rolling shutters is particularly useful if placed in the night zone of the house, in order to centralize this kind of operations when going to bed or waking up.

Dimmering: the My Home controls can be fitted with a special device to adjust the brightness of the light point. Unlike traditional electromechanical installations, the possibility to adjust the brightness is available from all the peripheral controls that manage that dimmable light point.

Timed switching ON: there are different possibilities to have timed activations of light points or openings/closings of doors and windows in consequence of events (even of atmospheric type), of timed planning or logic conditions (for instance: open the window for 5 if it does not rain).

Automatic activation: the switching ON of light points can also take place automatically, by

    5 71/ Casa Camataru

  • means of a movement detector duly enabled for this purpose. The switching OFF can be timed or determined by the operation of a special push button.

Flexibility: a My Home system remains always modifiable over a long time, in order to cover new functions and/or to comply with the different requirements of the house residents. The need to modify the switching ON points of the lighting or the activation points of the rolling shutters that arises after a simple shift of the furnishings can often be solved through a simple reconfiguration, without having to make any change to the cabling.

Minimum electromagnetic emission: the My Home controls are fed with low safety voltage (24Vdc), thus with a minimum level of electromagnetic emission, if compared with the traditional electromechanical installations fed with 110/127/220 Vac. Several installation peculiarities make it possible to fully exclude all sorts of electromagnetic fields deriving from the electric circuit from some house zones (for instance the bedroom).

    Temperature Control system

Description:My Home permits to anybody to assure the ideal temperature inside the dwelling by respecting the maximum operation economy. The subdivision of the heating system into separate zones allows to manage different temperature profiles, thus avoiding wastes of energy resources. The perfect design integration with the lines of wiring accessories allows an ideal coordination with the other components of the electric installation

Advantages:Design Coordination: the My Home Temperature control system fits perfectly well with the house electric system, with wall mounted central unit and local temperature probes and fitted with the same cover plates design of controls and socket outlets. A big advantage for the look of the whole house

Saving up to 30%: the multizone Temperature control is based on the temperature reading in every room by means of local probes that give their consent to the activation of the heating - through the central unit - only where and when it is necessary. By differentiating the temperatures depending on the room type (living room, bedroom, etc.) and on the daytime in which it is lived in (day, night), one can reach an energy saving of up to 30% in comparison with traditional solutions.

Programming simplicity of the temperature profiles: the programming of the temperature profile of every zone in which the system is subdivided is extremely simple and intuitive , thanks to a graphic menu supported by a large display on the central unit. Different daily or weekly programs can be preset, that can be easily controlled.

Local temperature control: without having to operate from the menu of the central unit, but just rotating the knob of the local probe, one has the possibility to adjust by +/- 3C the temperature profile set on the central unit, to switch OFF the zone or to set the antifreeze mode.

Integration possibility with other My Home functions: the temperature control is an

    6 71/ Casa Camataru

  • element of the My Home system, and as such it can easily integrated with other home automation functions that may eventually already be present inside the home. For instance, one has the possibility to have a temperature regulation at a lower level when one gets out in the morning or at a higher level when one gets back home in the evening.

Management from remote: by making use of the services offered by the My Home Web Server, is possible to manage the Temperature control central unit as well as the single zones of the system and request their operating condition, by using a fixed or mobile telephone or through an Internet connection.

Energy Management systemDisplaying of consumptions & Management of the powered loads

Description:The displaying of consumptions and the management of the powered loads are the My Home solutions to:- get a comfortable living place using just the electrical energy and the heating consumptions required.- improve the energy rating and the economic value of the system

The My Home Displaying of consumptions allows (by impulses counter interfaces and the electricity meters with toroids) to display on the Touch Screen devices the homes consumptions of electricity Gas and water, and also all the data from the heat counter systems. The devices of displaying could be integrated directly on the Automation/Temperature Control BUS or could be work as a stand-alone system. In case of photovoltaic or heat-water plants, using the electric energys meter interfaces, it is possible to estimate how much energy is produced and how much water is heated.

On the Touch Screen devices is possible to display:- the instantaneous consumptions- the daily consumptions- the monthly consumptions- the daily average consumption per month- the total consumptions of the last 12 months- the graphics about daily consumptions, monthly and of the last 12 months- the consumptions by different unit of measurement (m3, l, kWh, etc.) and the equivalent currency (Euro, $, , etc.)- the energys production- the hot waters production

The Management of the powered loads allows to manage the consumption of electrical household appliances and of other big electric consumers, thus avoiding the problem of blackouts due to the exceeding of the contractual limits. On a displaying devices, the user can also verify the consumption of each line, modify the values of priority. and schedule the activations of the loads.

Advantages:Complete check-up of the consumptions and/or the energys production: using a displaying devices is possible to have a right management of the plants and to decrease

    7 71/ Casa Camataru

  • wastes and malfunction.

Simultaneous use of several electrical household appliances: thanks to My Home, several big electrical household appliances (washing machines, dishwashers, electric ovens) or other electrical users (air conditioners, hairdryers, convectors) may be used simultaneously, thus avoiding the inconvenience of overload blackouts due to the tripping of the main circuit breaker placed on the counter.

Possibility to manage the operation priorities: the operation priorities set when the system was laid may be changed by the installer by means of a simple configuration. The user has always the possibility to immediately power any load again that was disconnected by the central unit by simply pressing a push button located beside the socket outlet or from remote on a touch screen or other dedicated push button.

Immediate reactivation of the loads that were temporarily disconnected: the disconnection by the central unit of a non priority load has to be considered as temporary, since the operation of the household appliance that was stopped to avoid the overload will be automatically reactivated as soon as the primary household appliances will complete their cycle. For this reason, one has the possibility to switch ON washing machine and dishwasher at the same time, when leaving home in the morning, without fearing to create consumption peaks such as to cause overload blackouts.

    Burglar Alarm system

Description:My Home assures the maximum house safety, with the aim of avoiding unwelcome intrusions. The Burglar alarm system is reliable, simple to use and can be easily customized by the final user. The perfect design integration with the lines of wiring accessories allows an ideal coordination with the remaining components of the electric installation.

Advantages:Design coordination: the My Home BAS perfectly matches the remaining part of the home electrical installation, with sensors, activators and other devices wall mounted and fitted with the very same cover plates used for controls and socket outlets: a big advantage for the appearance of the whole house.

Reliability and IMQ Certification of the 2nd level: the My Home BAS is a high quality product with IMQ Alarm certificate. This means excellent performance and great reliability , in basic systems as well as in more complex installations.

Activation and deactivation simplicity: the activation and deactivation of the system can take place through practical transponder keys, safe and little cumbersome. The partial connection allows to activate the protection only in some house zones. Numeric keypads and other devices give further possibilities to activate the protection, according to ones needs.

Wide range of detecting devices: the My Home Burglar Alarm System offers a wide range of protection devices (volumetric sensors, magnetic contacts for doors and windows, IR

    8 71/ Casa Camataru

  • barriers, glass breaking sensors), in order to meet every specific protection need.

Different possibilities to forward the alarms: the BAS allows to forward acoustic alarms through indoor or outdoor sirens and pre-recorded messages through telephone or GSM line (depending on the central unit chosen). When using the My Home Web Service to control and manage the house from remote, it is also possible to send E-mails and SMS messages to the numbers to alert.

Management from remote: the My Home BAS can be set for being activated or deactivated from remote by typing special Passwords and Codes. The user is alerted in good time even in case of power disconnection inside the dwelling.

Possibility to integrate with gas leakage and flooding alarm: by means of special interfaces or sensors, the BAS can protect the house and forward alarms concerning possible gas leakages or flooding.

Integration with other My Home functions: the BAS is an element of the My Home system, and as such it can easily integrated with other home automation functions that may be present in the house. For instance, one can have the immediate switching OFF of all the home lights with the activation of the BAS when leaving the house, as well as the switching ON of courtesy lights rather than the operation of blinds or rolling shutters when the BAS is deactivated when one gets back home.

Management through scenarios: the My Home BAS may be activated and deactivated in an easy and intuitive way by choosing among different scenarios (ex.: day, night, garage) and not through the selection of zones difficult to recognize, as it happens for the standard Burglar Alarm Systems.

Keys with differentiated access: up to 50 access keys with differentiated recognition can be stored, so as to allow the selective access per zone and per time slot (for instance, it is possible to leave an access key to the servant, allowing her to have access only at certain times and in a few days in the week).

    Technical alarms (gas, flooding, lifeline)

Description:My Home allows to control all those technical alarms like methan gas leakage through reliable detectors that give an acoustic and optical warning before the gas saturation begins to become potentially dangerous. The gas detector, duly connected, can even close the solenoid valve, thus making the whole house immediately safe. The My Home flooding alarm system can control the danger coming from the possible water leakage from a tap or a pipe. The BAS connected with it controls the water solenoid valve and can activate an internal siren or send a message to the person concerned that an alarm was given through the My Home Web Server. With the aim to supply to elderly people or to persons in danger a concrete help whenever they might need it, some special devices may be used through which they can send - in the simplest possible way - a request for help to several pre-set telephone numbers. This function is usually an extension of a My Home Burglar Alarm System through an additional radio receiver that can on the one hand receive the help request signal from the remote control-medallion

    9 71/ Casa Camataru

  • that was given to the elderly person, on the other hand send this warning to the telephone dialling device.

Advantages:Aesthetical coordination: the technical alarm detectors too, exactly like the sensors of the BAS, are perfectly coordinated with the appearance of the wiring accessories line used for the remaining part of the electrical installation.

Certified sensor with high selectivity: the gas detection sensor that was adopted is of the latest generation and does not generate false alarms due to the presence of other gases (for instance alcohol, sometimes used in the kitchen).

Immediate end of the trouble: through the closing of the solenoid valve connected with the detector, possible flooding or gas leakages can be stopped immediately, with the certainty to have the house always safe even if one is far away from home.

Integration with the Burglar Alarm System: the detectors of technical alarms were planned to integrate with the Burglar Alarm System, and the alarms they give can be forwarded to the people interested through a telephone dialling device or through the several possibilities offered by the My Home Web Server (E-mail, SMS, etc.).

LPG sensors: for those who make use of LPG, similar sensors are available that can detect leakages of this kind of gas.

Integration with Home CCTV: the Home CCTV solution can be used combined with rescue and emergency services allowing a visual check to who is in charge to carry out the rescue intervention.

    Video Door Entry system

Description:The My Home solutions for a VDE system allow to realize an effective control to the different house accesses through the sending of acoustic or visual messages of who is at the house gate. The wide range of external stations (to be placed outside the dwelling) and of internal units (to be placed inside to visualize who is making the call and interact with him/her) allows to meet all sorts of requirements as regards both the aesthetical and functional points of view.

Advantages:Aesthetical coordination: offers solutions that can perfectly integrate themselves from an aesthetical point of view with the wiring accessories line that is already present inside the dwelling. There are b/w or colour internal units, with vivavoce (hands free) function too, without need of the traditional receiver to communicate with the entrance panel.

Hands free solutions and with LCD screen: My Home offers a wide range of modern hands free video internal units with LCD screen. In case of the Axolute line, the Video Station and Video Display models make use of aesthetical solutions that are similar to the ones of the cover plates. For the other wiring accessories lines, there are similar models of the Polyx range in white and with neutral appearance that can be used in any

    10 71/ Casa Camataru

  • surroundings. In case of integrated My Home systems, these devices can carry out even functions that are different from the typical ones for video door entry systems (viz. choice of and listening to sources of the sound diffusion system, temperature adjustment of the Temperature control system, activation of scenarios, visualization of the actual state of the burglar alarm system, etc.)

Integration with Home CCTV: by presetting more cameras inside the house in addition to the one of the entrance panel, one can have on request the visualization of the pictures taken by these directly on the screen of the internal unit. This all is obtained by just extending the cabling of the video door entry system.

Integration with Home CCTV from remote: if you need to display the pictures taken by the cameras from remote, My Home offers you the possibility to connect your system to the My Home Web Server, thus allowing you to control and manage the whole house from remote, this including the Home CCTV system.

    Home CCTV system

Description:It often happens that one needs to have the possibility to keep under control by means of a monitor what is happening in different rooms in offices, dwellings, medical practices etc.My Home allows to do that in a very simple way by positioning flush mounting cameras in the different rooms that one intends to keep under control, thus allowing to visualize on request the pictures from the different cameras on the screen of the video internal unit .

Advantages:Aesthetical and functional coordination: the native integration of the My Home devices allows to have effective Home CCTV functions that are aesthetically coordinated with the electric plant.

Local control of cameras and entrance panels: by presetting more cameras inside the house in addition to the one of the entrance panels, one can have on request the visualization of the pictures taken by these directly on the screen of the internal unit. This all is obtained by just extending the cabling of the video door entry system.

Integration with Home CCTV from remote: if you need to display the pictures taken by the cameras from remote, My Home offers you the possibility to connect your system to the My Home Web Server, thus allowing you to control and manage the whole house from remote, this including the Home CCTV system, by using a Personal Computer or a portable device by Internet.

Full control everywhere: the sound sources can be controlled from all the rooms, viz. changing the radio stations or adjusting the volume, this all by making use of handy controls or touch screen.

Variety of sound sources: the sound signal may be taken from different sound sources, like the components of a Hi-Fi stereo rack, an I-Pod, rather than the FM radio tuner of the installation itself.

Integration possibility with other My Home functions: the Sound Diffusion system is an element of the My Home system and as such it can be easily integrated with other home automation functions that may be present inside the dwelling. For instance, one has the possibility to have a music background when waking up in the morning.

    Scenarios

Description:The My Home controls dont change the interacting way with the electric installation, but they greatly increase its range of action. Thanks to the pressure on simple push buttons , one has the possibility to control a single light, groups of lights or all the lights of the house. The scenarios control is an evolution of all these commands, that allows to control 4 pre-set scenarios.

Advantages:The wanted atmosphere by pressing a single push button: by making use of the scenarios control, is possible to manage a scenario by pressing a single push button, that allows the activation of different devices (lights, rolling shutters, ideal temperature, sound diffusion, etc.), useful at different moments of the day. An example of these scenarios is to arrange the house when the owner leaves: switching OFF of all the lights and sound

    12 71/ Casa Camataru

  • diffusion system, closing of the rolling shutters and adjustment at lower temperature level.

Possibility to reconfigure the scenarios: the scenarios can be easily reconfigured by the end user himself, without need for the installer to intervene.

    Control from remote

Description:The remarkable My Home technology, combined with the innovative My Home Web offer of services for the home automation, allows to control and manage the house from remote, by making use of a fixed or mobile telephone or a standard Internet connection . Depending on the specific requirements, there is the possibility to choose the most suitable control devices (telephone dialling device, burglar alarm central unit with fixed or GSM telephone connection, Web Server) and the most appropriate connection (telephone line, ADSL, GSM), thus obtaining the required functions among the very many available.

Advantages:.Management from remote: a My Home house duly configured can be perfectly controlled and managed by the owner from remote, who can to carry out (by choosing the communication means he prefers, like fixed or mobile telephone, palm or PC) a wide spectrum of operations that range from the switching ON/OFF the lights from remote, to

    13 71/ Casa Camataru

  • the check/management of alarm situations (burglar alarm, gas leakage, flooding, power failure etc.), up to the visualization on the screen of the PC connected to Internet of the pictures taken by the cameras.

Remote maintenance: on request of the owner, preserving the privacy and in compliance with the maximum safety standards, the trustworthy installer can be enabled to keep under control the full efficiency of a My Home house, in order to get aware in good time from remote of possible anomalies on the devices and to carry out remote diagnostic interventions.

    Stop&Go

Description:My Home allows to avoid the risk that the house may remain without power supply in consequence of the tripping of the main circuit breaker that took place to protect the electric installation owing to an instantaneous overload on the electrical line. After its tripping, the main circuit breaker Stop&Go immediately restores the current supply to the dwelling, after having carried out an instantaneous efficiency check of the installation .

Advantages:Put a stop to the risk of prolonged electric blackouts due to the tripping of the main circuit breaker: the increasingly frequent and strong summer storms or the occasional overload jumps on the electric line represent a danger for the dwelling, that runs the risk of remaining without power supply for prolonged periods of time. The main circuit breaker Stop&Go prevents this danger, by tripping immediately and in a completely automatic way.

Maximum safety before the restoring of the power supply: if the reason for the tripping of the main circuit breaker is not an overload but a fault of the electric installation (for instance a short circuit), or a voluntary disconnection of the electric power (for instance for changing a lamp), the main circuit breaker Stop&Go does rightly not restore the power supply.

    SPD overload dischargers

Description:In every electric installation its a good rule to plan some valid overload dischargers (SPD) upstream the electric system, that can successfully protect the installation and the devices connected to it (viz. TV sets, Personal Computers, electric household appliances) from the risk of discharges and overvoltages coming from outside due to atmospherics or sudden voltage changes. The use of these protection means turns out to be most recommendable in case of a home automation system, that is structurally formed by electronic and digital components.

Advantages:Dischargers for general protection or of electric installation lines : by using DIN rail devices, one can protect the whole installation (or just some lines of it) from overvoltages due to direct and indirect fulmination.

    14 71/ Casa Camataru

  • Dischargers for local protection to be applied to the wiring accessories lines : these flush mounting devices realize a local and specific protection and are usually located beside socket outlets that feed delicate electronic fittings like TV sets, PCs, peripheral devices etc.

Dischargers for protecting the telephone line: a special gas discharger is available for protecting the telephone line, to be installed in series on the telephone line itself in order to obtain an excellent protection level for equipment like fax, telephones, cordless, modems etc.
